Outstanding Amersham Manorial Gardens
sie 2020
The Amersham Manorial Gardens and War monuments are maintained to a very high standard of care to all visitors. There is a statue to the WW1 Royal Flying Corp Ace Albert Ball who gave the ultimate sacrifice at only 20 years. Lest We Forget

Unique Memorial Garden!
wrz 2020
This memorial garden is one of a kind. Judging by previous review photographs, it is constantly changing, though the WW1 and WW2 memorials themselves stay the same.

As well as very good floral displays, there are more unusual sets such as an HMS Dreadnought model with flowers and two biplanes celebrating the life of WW1 flying ace, Captain Albert Ball. The connection of the latter with Amersham was not explained, as far as I saw, as he was a Nottingham man, with a statue in the grounds of Nottingham Castle.

The garden, like many, is a series of rooms and all were uplifting. Recommended.

Lovely shirt walk

This is a very innovative and individual memorial garden. It's quirky and worth a visit. The walk takes you to a stream and fields beyond, which are also lovely.

A lovely place to visit!

When the sunning is shining the memorial gardens are a lovely place to take the children or go for a wander with friends. The gardens are kept in such great condition - it's a real credit to those who help look after it!

A truly beautiful and moving memorial garden, with regular events, music and displays, observations of all military special occasions. A lovely family day out.

Exceptional memorial garden

No matter what time of year you visit, you cant fail to be impressed . So much time, thought and effort goes into giving visitors something new to see. Every year you can see commissioned oriental structures combined with floral displays .Whether you visit for the peace and quiet to gather your thoughts,Rememberance Sunday,or in summer months you can picnic whilst listening to bands play Jazz on Sundays .Always events like St Mary's church fayre or Vintage days in the Old Town that spill into the gardens. I always make a point of visiting there when walking the dog through the Town
