I come from Italy, and this is one of the best gallery I have ever seen.
The style is amazing, every single furniture as class in it!
With precision and no screws, John Streater Is making love, no furniture, but love.

The WORST looking gallery on caves road holds the most amazing furniture you will ever see !
Don't be fooled by the tin exterior of this old shed , inside are the most exquisite Tables , Art and
Gifts handcrafted by local Artisans .
It was a pleasure to be served by Shaz , a true local who made me feel welcome , was full of
Knowledge and effortlessly organized shipment of my purchase ( a 4ft tall Steel Kangaroo ,
By Antonio Battistessa )
I will be back for a John Streater Dinning table soon !

Great experience !

John's place is a great surprise situated as it is in the middle of the bush. A modern workshop to turn rare hardwoods into works of furniture art by John.
Also included are many items by other artisans well displayed and all available to buy.
If you enjoy beautiful things, you won't be disappointed.

John Streater very obviously loves working with wood.

This lovely gallery is a bit off the beaten track but is well worth your time to visit. John greeted us and was happy to spend considerable time with us explaining how he sources his raw product and how he works his craft. His passion for this medium is displayed in his furniture, which really are works of art. John was even happy to give us tips about places to visit in the Margaret River area.

Along with John's work are pieces of art by other artists - paintings, glassware etc.

This lovely gallery is well worth a stop.

While holidaying in the area we had heard of the Gallery so had to visit as we were looking for a couple of small pieces to take to India as gifts for friends there. We had a little problem finding the place as they have recently moved and the brochure we had been given was not up to date but the helpfull girls at the nearby Swings and Roundabouts winery soon informed us where to go .
The good Lady there who we assume was Johns wife was very helpfull and showed us some nice Jarrah bowls for us to choose from which were ideal for us to take overseas and now sit in two lounge rooms in New Delhi. We saw some beautifull work there, John really is a timber artist and if we return to the area in the future we would love a piece of his work for our own home.
For timber lovers this place is a must visit .

During our recent trip to WA we were told a must go and see was the John Streater Fine Furniture Gallery and we weren't disappointed. The furniture and other woodwork on display were absolutely beautiful pieces of work made by a man who knows his wood and loves working with it. John took the time to show us around and talk about his work and demonstrated his thorough knowledge of timbers and their application. He also showed us the interesting local artwork and crafts at his gallery. Thanks also to his lovely wife, Pam, for taking care of our purchases and organising the shipment of them to our home address.

John's designs are truly original and every piece is made to last a lifetime. I love the fact that all the timber used is unique to Western Australia (Jarrah, Marri and Tuart) and each piece is a representation of the South West region.
The gallery also contains many quality works from a number of talented artists to suit any taste.
Don't miss this gallery!

Had a visit to the Streater Gallery recently. Looks like a little shed , but once you go in "wow" what a display. Can certainly suggest that a visit is with while , the furniture is top shelf and beautifully put together , what a craftsman..
