This building should be the highlight of the American side of Niagara falls. Instead, it's a rundown place with half of it shut down, the 2nd floor businesses were closed on a Saturday, the top floor (#9) is where you can take an elevator to go to an "observation tower". A what??? It is just a weird store at the top full of cardboard cut outs of people and characters for you to take pictures with - so weird. The first floor has a few very over-priced gift shops - $35 for a knit winter hat??? Seriously, this building could be a mega shopping and food place with breweries, wine tasting, restaurants, shops and experiences. It was so sad to walk through and get the feeling that those who are in businesses there, are fighting for their lives to stay open. Whoever owns this building needs a revamping quick!

Hi letsgotravelbykaren,
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. Unfortunately, you seem to be referring to the One Niagara Welcome Center located across from Niagara Falls State Park. We are located at the corner of First and Rainbow Blvd. near Goat Island.

We would like to give a shot-out to Katie for providing such excellent service when we didn't know how to get to Toronto (despite her elder colleague insisting on her not doing so because "this is not what the Visitor Center is here for"). One might, of course, wonder, what a Visitor Center is there for, if not for helping travellers reach their next destination... or one might just appreciate the helpfulness of the Katies of this world - thanks again! :)

Not enough signage but did pay for trollie to see entire park, employees very helpful but more signs needed at each stop to explain where to go

Good selection of t-shirts and other clothing as well as other Niagara Falls momentos. And a good central landmark when roaming the area.

I am from the US. It was my 1st visit. So disappointing on the US side. Such a great attraction and so little to do. Did not feel safe walking around the area. Really no where to go except casino. Hotel told us not to venture out more than the casino and definitely don’t go anywhere else. Pay the extra money and cross the bridge to Canada. I did much better and plenty to do. VERY kid friendly.

We went at the height of tourist season, so the visitor center was packed with people. We did not stay to look around or watch a movie or anything. We asked our question and got out of there as fast as we could.

Hi Jill G,
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review.
It seems as though you have our location confused with the State Park Visitor Center. We do not offer a movie here. We're located just outside of the Goat Island, within walking distance to the Park.

My friend and I went in to purchase tickets for the trolley and were given a free map an directions to find the trolley. This is a VERY busy place and I saw no need to hang around but it appeared that there was a LOT going on.

This was just down the road from our hotel. Had a lot of information and brochures to go thru. We stopped here first to get our discovery passes.

I visited the Niagara Falls Canadian side for several times but never got a chance to visit the other side in the US until May14. 2017. Here are the tips I would like to share with other travelers :
1. prepare the coins in both US dollars and in Canadian dollars or bring your both US Visa card and Canadian Visa Card if you have them, you will need US$6 for entering the US border, and CAD$4.75/US$3.75 for entering the Canadian side, both fees can be paid by either the cash or the Credit Card; just remember that when you enter the Canadian side, if you pay cash, you can choose to pay US$3.75 or CAD$4.75, but if you pay by Credit Card, only Canadian fund will be taken at the transaction terminal, a bank exchange fee may apply if you use a US visa card for this one.
2. when you have arrived at the front of the Niagara Falls USA Official Visitor Center, you can use the facilities in the center and get some information from the friendly staff; there is a self-service paid parking right in the south side of the building, flat rate US$20 for 24 hours, you may use your credit card to make the payment at the meter, it will ask for your vehicle plate number to be added to your receipt. You can also choose to drive a little bit closer to the Falls to park your car there.
3. you can take either way to the falls within walking distance. The friendly staff told me to start on the Old Main Street, while you can start on the 1st Street as well
Enjoy your trip!

A wonderful employee took time to point out several brochures that offered information on attractions and savings coupons, as well as dining locations within walking distance. We gathered maps and information in the Visitor Center, and used several of the pamphlets to decide on previously unplanned side-trips during our short stay.

Hi Gayla B,
We do not offer wheelchairs for rent at the Niagara Falls USA Official Visitor Center although Niagara Falls State Park does at no cost on a first-come first-served basis.

We are thinking about visiting Niagara Falls this summer. I'm curious how far of a drive it would be to the nearest Lake Erie beach or something to visit so that we can say we've been to Lake Erie. Also, what would be the drive for Lake Ontario. Both look close enough to visit in a day and it would be fun to say we've been to both.
We would need to stay on the United States side as we do not have passports.

Hi 19twotots20!
So happy you plan on visiting Niagara Falls USA this summer! From Niagara Falls to Lake Ontario, you can visit Youngstown, NY or Olcott Beach, NY - about a 30-40 minute drive. In Youngstown, Old Fort Niagara sits right on Lake Ontario, the oldest fortress on the Great Lakes! And Olcott Beach is a quaint town with the Lakeview Village Shoppes, Olcott Beach Carousel Park and is a hot-spot for fishing! As for Lake Erie, it sits right next to Buffalo - just 30 minutes from Niagara Falls USA! No passport needed to check either one off your list!
hi. Is there any luggage storage centre in the information centre or nearby? I'll be travelling to the place this weekend
Thank you.
If I may ask, what are the charges
