Dal paese di Serrone (FR), continuando a salire in auto sul Monte Scalambra, a quota 1100 m. c'è il bivio per il Romitorio di San Michele, imboccando via Del Santuario a piedi, dopo aver parcheggiato, si giunge all'eremo che poggia sul costone roccioso. Una visuale panoramica sulla valle ci accoglie, nell'ombra fresca degli elci, ai piedi dell'eremo.
Si tratta di un luogo particolarissimo che infonde pace e tranquillità, luogo privilegiato per la sosta ristoratrice, per la lettura, il picnic oppure un pisolino. Da questo luogo partono sentieri naturalistici facilmente percorribili. Unica raccomandazione recare con sè un'adeguata scorta d'acqua (sul Monte Scalambra non esistono, e forse mai esisteranno, fontane. Trattasi della "atavica guerra dell'acqua" tra gli antichi abitanti originari del comune e i più recenti lottisti "pseudoabusivi" di Monte Scalambra Alta che dura ormai da oltre quarant'anni, adducendo motivazioni pretestuose ma originali). Al ritorno è possibile (in automobile) salire ulteriormente sulla cima della montagna fino a quota 1420 m. con vista mozzafiato dal piazzale della Madonna Della Pace, anche qui con piccola area sosta e picnic (senz'acqua). Consigliatissimo!

Si arriva all'Eremo di San Michele da Serrone con una bella passeggiata che attraversa un bel faggeto, passeggiata di circa 3km con un bel dislivello. Un peccato che l'Eremo sia sempre chiuso ed aperto solo in occasioni religiose.

Molto carino anche il piccolo terreno adiacente attrezzato con panchine da pic nic. Potrebbe essere sfruttato meglio, sicuramente

Siiiiiii ce l'ho fatta !!!! Sono arrivata all'eremo !!! Ho avuto la fortuna di trovarlo aperto, il signor Michele Mille , custode volontario da circa 20 anni per voto fatto al santo, ci ha fatto da cicerone, raccontandoci oltre alla storia anche anetodi e curiosità legati al posto, la nana ha potuto anche suonare la campana !!strane emozioni si affacciano varcando quella minuscola porticina....l'eremo e' aperto 2 volte l'anno il 29 settembre e l'8 maggio,ma vale la pena anche visitarlo dall'esterno,organizzare un pic-nic (E MI RACCOMANDO LASCIANDO TUTTO PULITO !!!)sdraiarsi sul prato e godere di un panorama unico e mozzafiato...consigliato agli amanti della natura semplice.

Siamo stati in questo "angolo di paradiso"... del quale avrei qualcosa da ridire.
Il primo problema è arrivarci: poche indicazioni, a qualche bivio siamo andati più per intuito che altro (google maps funziona male)
Il posto si presenta con erbacce, in evidente stato di abbandono, senza un'indicazione di un orario di apertura, o qualsiasi altra info.
Un posto che, tranne per il panorama, ma quello c'è in qualsiasi altura, non vale il tempo di una visita...
Da dimenticare!

Immerso nel fitto bosco, arroccato su uno sperone roccioso, costruito con pietre antiche trasuda storia ad ogni angolo. Luogo fantastico per meditare, pensare, pregare, riposare e osservare dall'alto tutta la valle del Sacco... Da lì ti sembra di spiccare il volo e il cuore si riempie di aria fresca e di coraggio... ti senti un'aquila!!!

Bellissimo!!! E' un eremo veramente bello con l'albero incastonato in un buco in modo caratteristico...Ci si arriva da Serrone e se si vuole dopo si può continuare per il monte Scalambra.
