This fantastic park has lots to do: hiking, fishing, boating, biking, etc. It's also a beautiful place to relax, picnic, and generally hang out. The hiking trails accommodate a variety of abilities, so no pressure to take a difficult trail. I once took a class here where the instructor walked us through the park and pointed out various plants that could be used medicinally (like ginger or aloe).

This is a beautiful state park. Very well maintained. Lots of hiking and walking trails, beautiful lake for canoeinfg, kayaking and fishing. Dogs love it there too! Also a long dike that you can walk out to look at the Mansfield Hollow Dam.

There is so much I could say about this wonderful little state park but I'll just provide the facts and let you decide. It is located right down the road from UConn and open year round, offering something for everyone. There are very well maintained hiking paths and trails (used by hikers, bikers and horses), a boat launch, beach areas, picnic tables and fireplaces, plus large fields for sporting activities... I could go on and on. The Hollow has wonderful spots that will offer sightseers and photographers some amazing views. The lake is excellent for small power & sailboats, canoes/kayaks, as well as paddle boards. Plus fishermen can expect to find trout, bass, horned pout, and perch! Dogs are more than welcome. Thoroughly used by the locals and enjoyed by all.

Lots of directions to go & quiet vistas. Hardly ran into anyone else on the trails, which include everything from paved to dirt to rocky to root covered & wide to narrow. A lovely spot for a walk or casual hike.

Large boat landing area for small fishing boats, paddle boards and kayaks. Pretty busy on weekends but big enough area for some solitude in the water.

Hiked a piece of the Nipmunk trail, with going just a bit astray on a chilly day in November. Stone Arches owners know the trails well and copied a map for our use.

Mansfield Hollow SP has a lot to offer. Hiking, walking, paddling. There is a canoe and kayak club called cColumbia Canoe and Kayak club which offers members a chance to paddle when they choose. If you live in the area, look into it. You can also join Friends of Mansfield Hollow which also supports the park.

Took a walk on the path to the dam from Rte 6 entrance. Round trip is about 2 miles. Well paved. Beautiful view of the water and dam.
