Great experience!

My wife & I got to try out Pikes Peak Escape Rooms on our recent trip to The Springs. We are so happy we got to experience it. We only had time to attempt the Steampunk room. We were highly impressed with the nature and style of the puzzles. Very different than anything we have ever experienced. It definitely took a different style of thought to complete it.

Experience this room for yourself. You will not be disappointed!

Stay Away

I’m really disappointed with our recent trip to Pikes Peak Escape rooms. The building is a little sketchy, but we were looking forward to doing the Steampunk room on opening weekend. We paid a premium to do this room as it was more expensive that the other rooms, and we had several puzzles break. We got almost to the finish after having the employee come in to reset the room because one of the puzzles broke, and the final puzzle ended up breaking as well.

After spending nearly an hour in that room we weren’t even able to complete the final puzzle, even with ample time left. We all left really disappointed, especially paying a premium for a room that was “two years in the making”.

I definitely will not be recommending this place to anyone, there are plenty of other escape rooms in the area to check out.

My family did all 3 escape rooms at once!

Accommodating hosts who allowed us to run 3 different games at once. And the hint giver was able to keep up! The rooms did a great job of using a variety props to create an immersive atmosphere. We did Death Row, Lost Kingdom and Sleep Hallow.
Based on feedback I would say that Death Row was the best, followed by Lost Kingdom, and then Sleepy Hallow. It looks like Sleepy Hallow has been replaced now so the new ones look cool! Also the price was very good for these rooms.

Had a Blast!!

This was our first experience with an Escape Room and our family had a blast!! We completed the mission within 49 mins with one clue and did The Lost Kingdom.
Now this was our first time and we didn't know what to expect so it was amazing fun.

First thing to know is the neighborhood where the building is located is a little scary. The parking lot is huge. The building is tan/white and looks like they just painted it and the only one in the parking lot. The building itself needs major upgrades. The carpet smells like old cigars right when you walk in hallway. This has no reflection on the office you go into. Remember, enter from the back door and not the front door off Platte. You'll see a sign that tells you to head up to the second floor. I mention this because you don't want to get lost around here.

The experience was so much fun and it was kid friendly and they loved helping. The staff was very friendly and even took a picture of us at the end.

I would recommend trying The Lost Kingdom. It was worth the Groupon we got!

Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Challenging!
kwi 2017 • Pary
My mom and I tried to escape their "Death Row" room. We had quite the challenge getting started. Not to say it was too hard, but of course the clues made sense once we got a hint! We were told it's their most difficult room. Go figure since we went on a day when we were both more tired than would have been ideal!

A friend and I have also done their "Hidden Kingdom" room. She and I did make it out in time, though not without hints. Seriously, some things just didn't make sense to us until they told us how to use the items. (Just something to keep in mind!)

If you go, my advice would be to work your way up in difficulty. Each game maker (between venues) seems to have a very different idea of what works. It's a good idea to try figuring out their style before taking on the bigger challenges. Use the coupon code to get a better rate. A quick visit to Pikes Peak Escape's website should give a handy code to get a lower rate. (Not all rooms will even offer discounts, but it definitely doesn't hurt to ask!) Also, this particular venue claims that each room has hidden a way to get out from the first room (yes, there is a secret room). Personally, I like the idea of figuring out the answer to the story, not just the code to stop the time. But if your thing is purely about beating the quickest time, then look for the secret code. Otherwise, just try not to take the whole thing too seriously. Having a good time should definitely be on the agenda!
