Nanning People's Park is also known as White Dragon Park, and is home to White Dragon Lake. Great place for a relaxing scenic stroll.

People's park is probably the most popular one in Nanning. It's in the middle of the city. I always like to go in the morning and see the retired people practice their dancing and singing. At the top is the Nanning War Museum in an old fort and a museum that commemorates Chairman Mao's visit to Nanning.
Both museums are great but lacking because there are no english translations available. The pictures and dates give you a pretty good idea of the story anyway. There'salso a large amusement park. Rides are about 10-20 yuan each so a group of kids can get expensive quickly. The funhouse below the ferris wheel is the only one that can occupy children chldren for more than 5 minutes. They can play inside as long as they want.
The world's worst aquarium is located near the ferris wheel as well. Only if someone has never been to an aquarium would I reluctantly agree to paying for the extremely overpriced ticket. I'd also want to be sure that said person wouldn't have another shot at going to some other aquarium.

This is a beautiful and interesting place to visit in the heart of Nanning's City Centre. The Park has some interesting monuments together with a stunning lake and lots of flower beds which are worth experiencing. However the real highlight for me was seeing the locals coming together and relaxing in the coform of choirs, orchestra's and dancing.

Nanning People’s Park was built in 1951. Environment is good, I just visited a fraction of it and have no chance to see the historical memorial to the martyrs and the archaic Zhenning fort barbette. The ticket is free, not bad for leisure and recreation. There is a beautiful Bailong Lake( White Dragon Lake) and a winding Bridge, also pavilions for visitors to rest! Botanical garden and Children’s Playground are good places for children. Many people take exercise there; you can also find some special workshops. Overall, it is nothing short of a concentrated reflection of people's life.

Located at the center of Nanning. A large area ( very large ) of greens , sculptures and well manicured lawns. Different section within the park with different themes. An interesting place to have a relaxing stroll and yet get to know some cultural aspects of NNG. Recommend to visit but if you’re short of time , give this a miss as it’s not an area that can be covered in a short time frame . It’s best to be here when time is on your side and not needed to rush . BTW - there’s discount’ on the entrance fees even though you’re not from here .

Having been to many different People's Parks in various cities across China, this one is much the same, with a few nice areas to wander, a children's theme park which needs a bit of TLC and a lake in the middle with Chinese tea house/restaurant and a 9-turn bridge.
The park is ok, but gets very busy over the weekend and with a lot of families and young children buzzing around it can get a bit tiresome.
Late at night, when it's quiet, is probably the best time to visit.

I was taken to the park by a Chinese colleague, and it was well worth the visit! the walkways pass well-tended colourful gardens, travel through trees, cross bridges and provide across to broad expanses of grass, where families have picnics, fly kites and play games. We went on a Saturday afternoon and although there were many people there, the park didn't seem crowded in the least.
One one the pleasant surprises in the park was the number of groups who were playing music, singing and dancing - apparently all for their own enjoyment and that of other visitors to the park.

Nanning is called "The Green City" for a good reason: it has many parks, and the biggest is this one. I've been there several times as I never get tired of spending time in it. You can walk its paved ways for many hours and if you get tired or is short on time, you can get on some bus which frequently transports people around the park. But if you stray off the beaten path - which I like to do - you can easily feel yourself in a jungle.
Along its bigger ways you will find free public toilets and at bigger junctions they sell some refreshments, but you'd better have water with you even before you enter the Nanning People's Park, as the climate is warm in Nanning, besides walking in the park goes sometimes up, sometimes down, so you'll get easily thirsty.
It is a well-kept, clean park and you can find a nice view from there over Nanning.

One of the best things about nanning is the number of large green areas dotted aeound the city - and the people's park is one such example.
If you're in the nearby area, then the park's grounds provide a welcome retreat from the bustle of peopke and traffic.
