We have an Arkansas State Park "passport" book, which we are trying to get all the stamps for each of them. So my 4 stars is only because there was no staff here when we visited, so we couldn't get our book stamped. The Park itself is a nice idea, but needs some weeding and trail improvements (to their paved trsils) - but heck, it's free and a nice walk. Too many dog owners are not picking up after their dogs 😞.

I’m a full-time RVer and was looking for a good place to walk my two pups. The South Arkansas Arboretum is a gem! So many paved paths to walk, lots of benches to sit and relax, and plenty of shade. Very well maintained. Plenty of parking. A beautiful place to wander!

Nice entrance - little stream & waterfalls (small waterfalls - nothing big) with pretty flowers planted around. Nice place to picnic. Clean bathrooms. But when it's closing time, you better be at the gate! You will get locked in if you're not out of the arboretum at closing time! My husband and I got locked in and we had to climb the fence!!! It was pretty funny, but now we make sure we are at the gate before closing time! Very pretty, relaxing trails.

It needs to cleaned up more and have more plants. The walking trail is great for exercise. They have wonderful flowers planted in the Butterfly garden, however I do believe they could do more within the area, there is plenty of space. Maybe they could get a grant .

This is a small but beautiful local arboretum. It is an unmanned park near a former high school. There are two trails, a short one and a longer one, along with a gazebo. There are no amenities at the location but it's worth a visit to take a walk on a sunny day.

When flowers are blooming its a little oasis. Sit on a bench and take in some sunshine. Walk around and read about a plant or tree you have never known existed. Walk the full length and feel better..ahhhh! Such a beautiful place. Calm and serene.

The South Arkansas Arboretum is pretty all four seasons. Nice for a stroll or for more serious jogging. Not the biggest or best, but decent for this size of a town.

Surrounded by a fence just off the main road, this place is a sanctuary, see all of the indigenous flowers and trees of the area and have a picnic in a large pavilion surrounded by nature's splendor.

The arboretum was definitely a peaceful respite, with trails that aren't too long or difficult. We walked all the trails in an hour or so. They are paved, which is a nice touch. Also, there is a bench near a lake close to the beginning of the trails, which was a gorgeous place to watch the sunset. The gazebo in the front is a perfect spot for a picnic or gathering.
