It has to be one of thost rewarding garden walking experience in the world. For almost 7 miles you walk through an amazingly diverse ecological lesson. Being very well preserved, the Santos beach gardens are a must see attraction and it well deserves the 2 hour walk. There are many kiosks along the walk, that serves good seafood, including Japanese. These are also well kept and with adequate restrooms. So it is a no trainer, while in Santos just do the beach gardens walk

I've been to many beach cities in the world and have never seen 5 miles of gardens beach front. In many towns tha beach view is blocked by resorts or by high scryscapers.
In the case of Santos there are gorgeous gardens along the beach were you can stroll or run for 5 miles.
This will change your perception of "Beach Front".

Outstanding, unique, overwhelming! impossible to find an adjective to express the feeling of stepping on Santos Beach Gardens (or watching them from a penthouse facing the blue Atlantic). Nearly six miles along the shore, over 3,500 species of flowers, thousands of palm trees, in a safe, clean and lively atmosphere, day and night!
For over a decade, world's largest garden by the beach, according to Guinness Book!

This is the longest Garden side by side to the Ocean of South America.
There are 7 KM to walk or ride a bycicle.
The temperature of the Water to swim is perfect and on top of 25 Celsius during the Summer.
If you love to see a beautifull sunshine! This is the place!

Extremely beautiful well kept gardens along the extension of the shore. A variety of trees, plants and flowers spread between the street and the edge of the sidewalk by the sand. Several exercises stations if you are in a mood to exercise, or benches to sit down and relaxing sipping on a cold coconut water directly from the fruit. A variety of options to eat from. Very colorful vendors on the way as well. We could find mostly of everything to buy.

Spent 4 days on the beach. Although not entirely clean, the sand is flat and had great fun in the sea due to good active waves with no under current. This is a family friendly beach - no intimidation and everyone keen to look after each other - beer 5 real. Although not as luxurious as beaches further along the coast, we had a good time here.

Visited the Santos beach on a 11 hour layover in Sao Paolo Airport. The biggest time consumer was exchanging money. The airport gives a very bad exchange rate and I had to go to a local bank to exchange money and it took more than an hour for this transaction. The Sao Paolo airport has a direct bus to Santos Bus station from Terminal 2. It takes 2 hours and costs upto 10 dollars one way. Along the way, we pass an amazing rain forest and many lakes. From the bus station in Santos, a taxi can be taken for 7 dollars straight to the beach. It takes 15 min with trafiic. The beach is huge with wonderful, lush green islands forming a picturesque background. There are many small bars along the beach to order snacks and beverage The prices are pretty reasonable. You will notice old people playing board games and enjoying their retirement afternoon. It is very safe and I noticed a lot of police presence. Language could be a problem, but it seems the locals just understand enough english for you get by. After spending a few hours in the sun, you can take the taxi back to the bus station and catch the bus back to Sao Paolo airport. The journey takes 2.5 hours with traffic. The bus attendant checks passports and be sure to have them in your possession. Personally, I felt the Santos beach was better than the ones in Rio, as for one, they are pretty safe, cheaper and less populated.

Wonderful place and well maintained. Just infront of the beach, this wonderful garden complements the beauty of one of the most beautiful and complete cities of Brazil.

Não tem ondas. Mar muito calmo. Se for pra surfar..vá até o Guaruja ( cidade próxima)..só ir até a ponta da praia e pegar a balsa. Vá até a praia do Tombo..ótima pra surfar. Espero ter te ajudado
