temple worship Guan Kong
wrz 2019
when i visited Quan Kong Temple last year september,it was a rainy day,so i spend lots of time here.Guan Kong was the famous general who living in the period of “Three Warring Kingdoms” ruled by Han Dynasty, China.he was brave, righteous, and worshipped by people after he passed away. Stepping inside the temple, you will see the statue of Guan Kong with a dignified face and bright eyes ahead. chinese and vietnamese worship Guan Kong as the God of justice and righteousness. just behind the Quan Kong Temple lies Quan Am Pagoda. i visited it also,it is a place for worship too. i noticed it worship Guan Yin,a Buddhist deity, but more interesting is i found a gallery of paintings here, mostly they are watercolour painting.

Interesting

We were in the Temple, which I believe is Chinese, for about 40 minutes which, for me, was adequate. There are some delightful pictures and a very elaborate pond sculpture in the small rear garden

Beautiful Courtyard
gru 2019
Quan Cong Temple was built in the 17th Century. It was dedicated to the Chinese General Quan Cong. Who is a symbol of loyalty, sincerity, integrity and justice. There is lots of paintings, statues, red horses, white horses, a stunning well maintained garden and statue of one of his guardians General Chau Xuong. Make sure to check out the rain spout on the roof in the courtyard.

We went mid day and it was not very busy. If you have an extra ticket this is a great place to use it but I wouldn’t say it is a must.

Don't forget to purchase your ticket before heading to a this stop at the Old Town Booth. The tickets includes 5 entrance fees. You have 24 hours from time of purchase to use them. It cost 120,000VND (around $7.10CAD). There are 21 sightseeing to choose from.

Picture when you load page is NOT Quan Kong Temple but Fukian Assembly
lut 2020
It would behoove anyone reviewing this page to post the correct photos of the temple. Some photos and/or reviews here are noting the wrong place. Quan Kong Temple is very small and you enter right off the sidewalk into small colorful temple. I will post the correct photo of it but it will probably get lost in all the other photos.

Colorful and decorative temple in the heart of Ancient Town
lis 2019
A nice respite on a hot day while strolling through the ancient town. The temple is quite decorative and the garden is a nice stroll. Not a "A" temple, but certainly a "B."

Quan Kong Temple
gru 2019
The Quan Kong Temple looks great from the outside, worthy of a photo when you pass by, not sure I would target this as a must-see attraction.

Another colorful and impressive temple
paź 2019
Yet another gorgeous temple of HOi An. You need the "attraction" ticket to get in and since we didn;t have our tickets with us we only observed from the outside but it's still super impressive and colorful. You can't miss this temple if you are cycling around town. The temples are with a stop for photos!

Interesting but similar to many others. Worth wandering past and looking in but nothing special to draw me in
paź 2019
Yet another temple, they are all really interesting but too similar to each other to warrant seeing more than two in detail.
