Not worth the detour

Actually we were looking for the Narbona winery and we finished up here by chance. We did not see nothing worth the visit and left the place soon after we arrived

Sorrow and deception
kwi 2015 • Dla rodziny
The housekeeper, who was actually born there, was very kind and showed us around telling us about the place.
The buildings are falling into pieces literally and have been visibly looted, allegedly by the authorities in the past mid century as we were told, as soon as it became national property.
It´s a shame so many parts of the building are in risk of collapse and no effort is made to prevent it from happening! Our guide told us this was the first "estancia" to be built in the country, it deserves to be well kept just for that reason, beyond its actual value...
There is poor signaling to reach it, and inexistent information on the place to see or read for yourself besides that lady´s speech... by the way, she gave slightly different pieces of information to my husband and me during the visit (we went sepparately so that one of us would watch our children sleep in the car in the meantime). If you rely on a person´s memory to describe the place, it is likely that you will get just what that person´s recalls are at the very moment.

A 1700s Chapel in shameful abandonment
wrz 2014 • Pary
This 1700s lovely chapel, a national historic landmark, is another Colonia's treasure that's been abandoned, with it's only maintenance coming from a dedicated old lady that also acts as a guide of the place (for the last 30 years).

The place is as haunting as the guide. You learn the story of each room (besides the chapel itself), and you can even imagine what life there could've been like.

The place deserves better treatment. It would be a 5- star visit if it were in better shape. Some rooms (chapel included) cannot be safely visited (danger of collapse)
