Beautiful zoo and well cared for animals. The staff were the let down all grumpy and terrible customer service! Advertise that the safari starts at 9am but made us sit in bus running until more people come so made us miss the first show ridiculous!

    Night Safari
We went to the night safari and it was a great experience. We did have a fair bit of rain that did alter the experience (the lions did not want to leave the cave) but still it was amazing. Next time we will go during the day and stay for the night activity also so we get to see more of what was on offer. The night fire show was fantastic also.

May visit, but do not expect too much
Quite a poor and short safari tour as such with 3 zones represented by a few animals in each. Some of exhibitions in zoo part of the park were entirely closed, such as crocs area. Very rude and unprofessional staff at snakes encounter - think twice if you want to engage with this kind of people, who may make your impressions even worse.

    Amazing adventure
An amazing experience with nature's creation big and small. Purchased the Elephant back Safari package which included express line for the Safri Journey - no que. The Safari journey through the park with English commentary and laughter along the way was brilliant. The ride with the elephants and feeding them was a beautiful experience especially for my 2 kids. The tiger show was captivating with music and stories. The restaurant on site with views of the lions and other animals was a perfect ending to our unforgettable experience at the Park.

A good animal safari for kids
We went there since my 7 year son wanted to see Komodo dragons and were happy with the overall experience. We booked the jungle hopper basic program tickets at the counter. This seems like is a home to more than 100 species of fauna from Asia, Africa. One can spend as much time with each section and rest at will. There are many eateries. The washrooms are clean. The safari was also a good experience since ample time was given to see different animals and learn about them.

This is a good stop and bust for all types. The park is well laid out with very good attractions. I really enjoyed the breakfast with giraffe and the big car encounters. Ideal for families with young children.

Pretty decent experience - could be better
Pretty good experience but depends on what you do. I booked tickets for my family online as it worked out cheaper (around 10-15% discount). The safari itself is pretty poor. Really basic tour of the area with some animals to see. Nothing special really to justify the price. The walking zoo is a lot better. You get to see a variety of animals and there are plenty of opportunities to feed them. The prices are very reasonable too. My kids fed goats, rabbits, guinea pigs and turtle for around 40k IDR. Not bad price at all. We also fed the otters for 80k IDR which was a much better experience as they are quite loud and active, jumping around for the fish. You can also feed fishes in the pond opposite the restaurant. They give you a bottle to feed them with which is a very different experience and one I'd highly recommend. Cost was 80k IDR. The shows aren't the best and in the heat, can be quite challenging. The restaurant is reasonably priced but the food is standard, nothing special. It can get extremely hot too so hard to keep kids settled. All in all, decent experience.

A brilliant day out with our children and grandchildren. Worth the visit!
After a bit of a shaky start, we could not get on the free transfer bus until we rang and explained that we had a group of 10, we finally made it to the Safari Park. They did, to their credit, organized our own transfer bus and it was great! The park was crowded with local tourists but we found plenty of room and plenty to see and do. The various ‘shows’ were focused on animal protection and conservation as well as giving the audience a brief historical review of the relationship between the Balinese people and the animals of the Indonesian archipelago. The safari bus ride around the park was excellent, as was the food served in both Uma and Tsavo restaurants but there are also cheaper ‘warung’ type options available too. The kids loved the water playground after lunch (25,000 IDR or $2.50 each). We did not go to the ‘fun zone’ as we simply ran out of time- there is a lot to see and do. Remember not to take any food into the park and only one water bottle per person.

Very good experience at the safari
Very impressed by the Bali Safari! Well-maintained grounds and thoughtfully planned user journey. Doesn't need to refer to the map as the layout was very straightforward. The timing of the animal presentations were well paced, allowing for exploration of other enclaves in between show times. I find their shows much more engaging and stronger in storyline than what we have back home. Much more meaningful than purely seeing the animals performing tricks. The highlight of the trip was the Jungle Hopper where we get to sit in an enclosed air-conditioned vehicle that brought us right up closed with the animals! All the animals were roaming freely unlike ours, just lazing around. Having a guide onboard explaining the animals we see was a huge value-add. Thoroughly enjoyed this trip to the Safari. Strongly recommending it to those who are holidaying in Bali.

Good time - Shame about the food but i had a great time regardless.
we had an amazing time seeing all of the animals up close and in their night time environment. Tour guide was lovely and informative. We then went into the cage to have animals up close which was great! Tigers were the highlight for sure but I wish there was a way of getting a photo of this. It being night time its hard with phones without flash
but if they had a go pro or something that would have been great. We then had a fire dance (African one I believe) which was amazing and we really enjoyed it. The food after was not very nice, edible but you could tell it was out for ages so didnt want to risk a lot of it. Overall I think Bali zoo was better but the cage was great and was more unique overall so I think maybe 3.5-4 star.

This place is extremely expensive for what they offer. Some areas such as the aquarium is a joke, the price they charge foreigner tourists is comparable to some of the best parks in the world whereas you don’t have a clue where to go upon entrance, not even a map in your hand or good signs. Inside Information centre cannot talk proper english and not aware of programs. I saw people couldn’t find places they wanted to go!

Dear Babak J, Thank you very much for visiting our park and leave us some feedback. We are the biggest and only safari park in Bali with more than 1000 animals with 100 different species. We also have full facilities compare to other parks, including a waterpark and some amusement rides. This might explain why our price is higher than others. Please be informed that our basic package (Jungle Hopper) is included almost all of the activity inside the park. Once you come to our Information Centre around the park, the staff will hand the map and we will be very happy to help you organize all of the activities so you will get a better experience. We are very sorry that you had an unpleasant experience with our customer service, allow us to investigate it further as we never had this type of case before. The guest experience is one of our main concern to provide an excellent service. We know that this does not change your experience and we sincerely regret that we failed to meet your expectations. We very much appreciate your feedback so that we can address the issues raised with our team.

We had opted for night Safari, where in we are taken to jungle in a CAGE. You read that right! It was not animals but humans were put in a cage. Being put in cage gave a very good opportunity to see Lion, Tiger, Rhinos very closely. They will come on your cage to eat food given by guide, so you can say that you have very very close experience with Lion and tiger. You can feed plant based foods to animals like Elephant, Zebra, Giraffe etc.
The tour will start with introduction of sections of Zoo and different species of animals, birds, reptiles residing in it.
Our package also included diner and it was the most , untill our hotel informed us. So we requested for the shuttle service but it was fully booked. So just to accommodate our request, they sent us a private car!
The overall highlight for us was their heart warming hospitality and welcome, getting to see Dragon, cage experience, food, and dance!
They also offer accomodation and various jungle activities. It's a great place for kids, couples and families.

The Tiger Show and Safari Journey were the most memorable. We bought our tickets online and the queue to collect the tickets was short and quick. We reached Bali Safari around 9.30am and made it for the Animal Show at 10.30am, followed by the Tiger Show at 11.15am. We lunched at Tsavo Lion Restaurant and my toddler son absolutely loved seeing the lions sleeping next to the restaurant. You could get a very clear view of the sleeping lions from the toilets. There was also a meerkat enclosure next to the restaurant, with several lively and inquisitive meerkats romping around, separated from us only by a glass wall. The Safari Journey was amazing because we were really up close to the animals and all of them looked really well taken care of. The giraffes especially had glossy fur coats. Beautiful. I highly recommend a visit.

If you go to Bali as a family with kids, definitely visit this attraction. The place has good greenery and doesn't feel as hot as the outside temperature. They have a variety of very good animal shows and the bus safari is very good, information and the guide on board is very knowledgeable. For food you can visit Uma Restaurant for a variety of cuisines. A full day of fun!

The zoo wasn't as big as I thought, and when I came, there were some repairs in the exhibits and many of the rides was not on. The waterpark might be enjoyable from some kids but not for adults. Also, I felt that the water/glass in the aquariums were rather murky. Midway during my visit, it was raining.

Because of the rain, some of the shows were cancelled and my long-awaited visit to the petting zoo became somewhat of a miss. The animals were still there, but all were hiding from the rain. I found relief in the safari journey. I enjoyed the ride, but was unable to take nice pictures due to the water droplets in the window. Some of the animals were also hiding because the heavy rain. I saw a bunch of deers all hiding under a small roof..

I feel like the zoo can be more enjoyable when it is not raining.
And don't forget to bring your own umbrellas when it rains. They do sell umbrellas and raincoats, but I find them rather expensive.

We were really looking forward to our trip
to the Safari but came away a little disappointed.

Unfortunately the weather was bad, it rained most of the time, so that did impact our visit, through no fault of the Safari park.

When we got there, there was an issue with our pre-paid tickets which took a while to sort out.

We had booked breakfast with the Lions. It was raining and we were told there wasn’t a shuttle to take us to the restaurant. Luckily we had our driver with us, so he took us over to the restaurant which is a fair way away from the entrance.

Breakfast was very basic, with not much on offer. And the 2 Lions were hiding by the rocks, so you really couldn’t see much. We really could have given this a miss.

Next up we went to the safari terminal and were told there would be a 15 minute wait for a bus. 25 minutes later we were told it would be another 20 minute wait as there was only 2 buses. As it was raining, we really didn’t have much choice but to wait.

When we finally got on the bus, the journey was great and informative.

Then we went to the animal show. The poor animals seemed quite distressed. It was pouring with rain by this time, so I do wonder if the rain was scaring them, but there was a dog that was clearly scared and trying to find somewhere safe, and it seemed even more scared of the staff trying to catch it.

Even the cats seemed too scared to do their little bit of the performance, and the Toucan bypassed the stage and flew to a tree instead.

The orangutangs that came out were cute, but also looked like they didn’t want to be there.

The rest of the shows were cancelled due to the rain, so we decided to leave the park.

My kids enjoyed shopping in the souvenir shops. That was probably the highlight.

Sadly, I wouldn’t say this was worth the money. Maybe the weather impacted the visit for us, but it did seem quite disorganised and I felt for the animals in the performance.

Been to many of these types of safari /zoo all over the world but this has been the most dissapointing.. Queues to buy the over priced tickets were slow. You are not allowed to take your own food or drink in with you. When you do need a drink inside its also over priced.
Not really that much to see for the money spent. Everything else is a add on. Trying to find the exit is a nightmare

In April 2023, we embarked on a thrilling adventure at Bali Safari and Marine Park, a medium-sized safari park that left us with mixed feelings of awe and slight disappointment.

Purchasing tickets online via their website was a breeze, streamlining our entry into the park.

We start the safari with a wait at a safari bus terminal. The unique aspect here is that visitors can't bring their own vehicles, ensuring a unified and controlled safari experience.

The special safari buses, featuring wide windows for optimal wildlife viewing, were made even more enjoyable by the presence of knowledgeable and friendly tour guides. These guides, fluent in clear English, demonstrated a genuine passion for the park's inhabitants and their habitats. They not only shared fascinating insights about the diverse wildlife but also went the extra mile to answer questions and engage with visitors, creating an interactive and educational safari journey.

The safari ride was an absolute delight. The ability to stop at designated bus stops, strategically placed near open theaters, added an extra layer of enjoyment. These stops showcased entertaining animal performances, from traditional dramas featuring real animals to other engaging acts that added a fun twist to the safari experience.

The pinnacle of our visit was the Bali Agung Show, a captivating blend of traditional theatrical performances infused with awesome stories, beautiful gamelan music, and modern lighting techniques. If I can pick only one attraction during our trip, this will be it!

A word of advice for future visitors: some ticket tiers do not include this mesmerizing show, so be sure to check the details beforehand to avoid missing out on this unique cultural spectacle.

While the park itself offered almost perfect entertainment, the lunch experience left a bit to be desired. The restaurant, though convenient, presented a downside with pricier-than-normal food that only met a mediocre taste standard. While most of the restaurant staff are okay, our encounter with specific two restaurant staff members tarnished the overall impression. These individuals lacked professionalism and were, frankly, quite annoying. It was a regrettable blip on an otherwise enjoyable day.

In conclusion, Bali Safari and Marine Park is a fantastic destination for families seeking a unique safari adventure. The special safari bus, diverse animal performances, and the Bali Agung Show contribute to a memorable experience. Despite these minor drawbacks regarding the lunch experience, the overall visit was an awesome ride that left us with lasting memories.

We have for a long time been promising ourselves as local expats to visit here.
With our grandchildren arriving from Australia and our adopted son had commented great prices for locals now being offered the decision was made.
Although the website was a bit confusing i finally secured tickets for 4 of us at a great deal. I noticed if visiting Bali there were great prices also.
From the Tiger show to the Elephant show to feeding a White Tiger and finally the Safari bus through the park offering close up views of wildlife from around the world it was a great day.
You can even stay here in a hotel on site.
I thought an extra bonus was prices for extra attractions were very reasonable and the food prices were not inflated.
In closing one thing i would like to say is Nyoman Tulus who served us at Uma Restaraunt was amazing with his service, attention and that smile. I feel he represented what all Bali Safari was and is about.
If i had any complaint it was i could not think of one solitary complaint. Well done Bali Safari!!!
