It was an amazing experience travelling with Himalaya shelter team. we went for trek to Dodital (20th Feb to 24th Feb 2021). our trek was for 5 days 4 nights and each day was as much fun!! our Guide Mr. Nitin was so knowledgeable and very helpful throughout the trek. Mr. Hari our cook, made the most yummiest power packed meals for us to keep our spirits and energies high!!. the tent and sleeping bag facility was so comfortable that we just dint felt the chill of minus temperatures at nights. evenings with bonfire and some quick snack with hot cup of coffee with a view of snow clad mountains was a dream for me and my wife but Himalaya shelter made it real for us. Our driver was a talented driver who drove the vehicle so smoothly on such narrow and rough roads, not once did i panicked, he is such a safe driver!! Trust me, i felt like the team was more like a family to us. they took such good care of us throughout the trek. They provided us all that was promised. I highly recommend anyone planning to go with Himalaya Shelter team for an adventurous and enjoyable trekking experience.

I haven’t selected the good time of the year for Kedarkantha trek but these guys made it the best out of it. Starting from the dehradun to Sankri travelling they were very polite, had lunch and reached Sankri at dinner time. They had already prepared tea for us and by the time we get fresh in our rooms, dinner was ready. The next day starting from breakfast at the hotel we had the best food that one can never expect of in trekking. Tents and sleeping bags were very clean. The guys gave the thing we admire the most in trekking; MAGGI ;). They made us coconut barfi in dinner. I mean this was out of our expectations. They also provided foldable chairs to sit around bonfire in such cold atmosphere. Breakfast and lunch next day were tasty. At kedarkantha base camp, I was surprised to see a dining tent made for us for dinner. I swear none of us would have come out for dinner if there was no dining tent. The temperature was about 0 degree celcius. Soup followed by GULAB JAMUN in dinner, I mean this was never expected. The night I can never forget. It snowed around 25 inches in one night. The guide asked us to shift to dining tent as it was big and safe. Our sleeping tents were fully covered with snow. The dining tent saved our lives. Next morning when it stopped snowfall, guide cleared whole snow on our sleeping tents to get us back our things. Kheer was provided in breakfast. As it snowed more, we didn’t go for summit and trekked down to our hotel. I had the best time of my life. Services provided by these guys was beyond anyone’s imagination. I would recommend The Himalaya shelter to my every friends.
Thank you team Himalaya shelter. :)

I had been for the Kedarkantha Trek with Himalyan Shelter. Couldn't have had a better experoence. We were served piping hot and delicious meals all the time, even at base camp and service also was too good. Staff would stay up at night and remove snow off tents to ensure that we don't get too cold inside. Even the guide was awesome, he single handedly ensured that everyone of us made it to the summit by running up and down the mountain and guiding us all up (It was a bit difficult due to a snow-storm that had occured).

Trekking with himalya shelter was a good option that we choose for kedarkantha after a lot of research. It was an awesome experience as ever from customer support to the cook. And the trek lead trippan singh is also professional and well informed.

Cleanness of the room in sankri and tents was also good. The food which was provided was also delicious and unimaginable at that altitude. We had sandwitch, gulab jamun, manchurian, noodles, maggie and lots of other good stuff.

Overall a great experience, The experience you get with this price and better compared to other providers is commendable. Kudos to Mr. Bacchan and the team.

Har ki dun -
Entire trip was well organized. Due to weather conditions our trip was delayed, they were very transparent with the process and limitations.
Once we started part of the group couldn't keep up and decided to not finish the trek beyond half way. Even then our guide was very sure that those who want to complete should have the opportunity to do so. Hence him (Subodh) and I trekked 30+ km on a single day and went to har ki dun and back. He was able to estimate, plan everything in a way that rest of the group could retreat and he guided me alone to the valley and back to the group.
Even through all this, everything was well managed, meals were tasty and hot, which is a luxury during nights. A lot of flexibility was shown in accommodating different preferences, without compromising on the basics.
There may have been 2 occasions where I strayed from the path and he was able to spot within a min of that, shows how sharp and attentive he always was. Also my shoe soles came off which he mended at end of day! Couldn't have asked for more.

I will start my review from the Day 1, on reaching at base camp sankari it was a very please welcome by the crew member Mr Ritik and within no time I got my room.
The evening snacks and thereafter dinner was too good(taste and quantity)
After the dinner Saurabh ji briefed us about the trek and our guide(Mr Ritik and Mr Nitin ji) Both were just too experienced and jolly person (Special hug to them)

All the crew members of the Himalayan Shelter were just so good that I had already booked my summer trek with them.
Breakfast, lunch , evening snack and dinner at all day was so simple and good (Far better than most of the good expensive hotels in city)

I will surely recommend Himalayan Shelter , if you want to have some great experience on high altitude treks

The experience of the guides helped us a lot to hike the Kedarkantha summit smoothly❤️

Three cheers for Himalayan Shelter and cred members (Saurabh Ji, Ritik and Nitin Ji)

Always support local business and initiatives.
As a follower of this thought, I booked Bali pass trek with Himalaya Shelter.
Starting from the first conversation, the team of Himalaya Shelter was very considerate and flexible for our needs.
The trek cost was reasonable.
I felt safe, secure, well taken care during the entire trek.
The trek guide, the cook and porters were very soft spoken and caring.
Bachan Rana the trek guide is a very experienced guide, and especially on this route he knows every turn and corner. He understood our expectation of the itinerary and took all the decision proving right given the situation at hand, ensuring our safety and minimal effort. He was motivating his own staff all the way, and always been with one of the guest walking last.
The cook, Beeru was skilled and provided nutritious and tasty meals throughout the trek.

I would recommend Himalaya Shelter by my own experience.

I wish Himalaya Shelter all the best for their future.

Me and my wife travelled with Himalaya Shelter in Oct; 2021.It was our first trek to har ki dun and was very apprehensive. However we were taken great care of by the team.everything was arranged perfectly from our pickup from dehradun to drop till mussourrie.the food arranged was awesome.everyday we were given 2-3 menus in breakfast as well as dinner along with soup; fruits; evening snacks etc and the menus were awesome. Our guide Shri Raghav ji was fantastic and take very good care of us. Also our cook Shri Chandramohan ji is the person u need when u are up there as his culinary skills are unparallelled. Having hot gulab jaman at har ki dun was awesome experience.
Thanx to the whole team including Bachan Rana; Raghav ji and Chandramohan ji for such great effort for making our trip successful. Everything was taken care off and I would highly recommend Himalaya shelter for any trek; specially for beginners as u can trust them blindly.

I just finished the kasmir great lakes trek with himalayan shelter. It was an amazing experience, unforgettable with breathtaking views which words cannot describe enough. The pictures do not pass the feelings and the connection with nature. All the credits go to our lead guide Subodh who is the best for the job.He made all the difference as his professionalism and experience along with his care, kindnes and his attention about everything and everybody in our team at all times was remarkable. Our supporting guides Nitin and Mukesh were also excellent....very helpful for everyone especially in difficult parts during raining and muddy walks. The great connection and communication of Subodh with his team was evident and they all came out as a great team supporting us in every step.  All incredibly helpfull taking care of everything and being where they should whenever needed in our help. Not to mention that they all are also very fun and kind and made the trek an enjoyable experience. They would everyday pick the best spots for camping to give us some privacy and the best views of the mountains from our tents. Our local guide, Muktar was also really good knowing well the trail. The cook (chacha) was also incredible spicing up our dinners and not only. It was a genuine introduction to indian cuisine on the mountains. We have been fed all the time snacks and dinners and everything.
I had an amazing time and really enjoyed this trek a lot. Thank you Himalayan Shelter and specifically thank you Subodh for making this trek in the heaven of India such an amazing memorable experience.
I would definitely recommend this company if you are treking in India and make sure you ask for Subodh as your lead guide and for Mukesh and Nitin to be in the team.  We were a group of 9 and the company tried to accomodate all our requests and tailored the trek to our needs which was great. I have been trekking in different countries and have experienced several level of services around the globe. Himalayan Shelter was positive one for sure.
