Enchanting Temple and Surrounding
lut 2021 • Dla rodziny
We went to Ramdara Temple a week back. It's on the Solapur highway from Pune, after Hadapsar you need to leave the highway and take right turn towards Ramdara. The inner village roads were bit narrow but driveable for both 4 & 2 wheelers. In between some 2 kms before the temple a railway bridge construction is going on, for which we had to take a rough patch of about 500-600 mtrs to take a subway and come to the other side of the railway tracks. Otherwise the entire village road for about 7-8 kms was beautiful and quite natural. The parking is about 200 mtrs from the temple entrance, plenty of parking, also you can park nearby places beside the muddy village roads. The natural beauty of the surrounding was awesome, specifically during the early morning or evening. Keep a note that the temple closes by 5 pm. So visit the temple first and then after coming out you can stay for a while outside to enjoy the beauty. Inside the temple many statues of different Gods, Goddesses and many Saints can be seen. A big lake is there inside where you can feed lots of fishes if you carry puffed rice (murmura). The garden area is closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. Without that itself the temple is quite natural and spiritual. Outside the temple some local village people can be found selling fresh vegetables and all. We did not buy as just wanted to avoid crowd during this pandemic times. Next to the parking a road goes towards the Ramdara hill some plots are getting sold along the farms, which are cultivating cabbages, papayas and other vegetables. There is one another temple is there on top of the hill but that requires some trekking and can be avoided if kids are accompanying. Overall quite beautiful and kids enjoyed a lot. Many people seen doing some picnics on the surrounding fields. Good to leave before the dark and you need to come back crossing the village roads and the patch due to the railway bridge construction.

Nice temple with greenery around.
gru 2020
Its around 25 kms from Pune. Temple is surrounded by water from three sides. There is free parking 300 mts before the temple. There are some people selling seasonal fruits and vegetables around the parking, a bit of bargaining could be done. In the temple pond there are some ducks.
My kid enjoyed a lot playing with them. Also there are fish in the pond. Don't forget to carry some food ( puffed rice- murmura ) for the fish and the ducks. Due to the pandemic the garden area of the temple was closed.

Ramdhara is scenic and serene you will feel peace at this place away from.hustle bustle of the city.It is bit off road experience.Located at distance of 23 km from Swargate is good for a weekend getaway. You have to head on Pune Pandharpur highway then take a right on palki road. You have to travel 5 6 km on narrow rough road but it is good experience.Temple is surrounded by Lake and has provision for walking around the lake.It gets closed at 6 pm so you better be early. The villagers sell vegetables and fruits you can find very small shops for eateries.

A One Day Visit to Ramdara Mandir
lut 2019
This is a small but silent & beautiful place at the bottom of the mountain. The temple is on the shore of a small pond. Although named after Ram, it has all idols of Gods and saints of other Hindu sects. Surrounded by trees it has spacious parking place. Temple is clean. There are not hotels or other shops for eatables. It is on the Loni road opposite of MIT college in Loni. The approach road is not so good. It is just motor-able. One can spend an hour or so there. Worth a visit once.

Beautiful place around Pune
cze 2018 • Dla rodziny
This temple is close to Pune and a good option for half day outing. Its a calm serene place surrounded by greener. Visited in June just before rainy season so the lake around the temple had low water levels. It must be even more scenic after rains.

Serine Place with a short mountain trail to add
lip 2018
A very good and calm place not far away from city. It is in the lap of a mountain with all greenery around. A Ram temple in middle of the pond.If you have a group you can cook here as well.
There is small mountain trail to add to this......you can go further height to see what they call as Sita’s(Lord Ram’s wife) bath.
