It is worth walking along here to see the views over the city and it is next to the art museum and the lift down to the port area.

They were setting up for a fair or music even when i visited Valparaiso so you could still soak up all the views but there were boards everywhere as they were building different stalls for vendors along the Paseo. There is also the beautiful German styled art museum here. There are many overlooks in Valparaiso, this is an easy one to get to with the funicular on one side of it and it offers up some great views of the city!

My wife and I own an apartment in Valparaiso and we visit very often. Although it is undeniable that Paseo Yugoslavo is touristy, it is still a must see part of any city walk. It is full of artists and performers and there are some worthwhile shops, restaurants and museums in the area such as Restaurante El Perral. I strongly recommend a visit at sunset when the views over the bay are unbeatable.

The best way to get there is with the Peral lift that rides up to the Cerro Conception from Plaza Sotomayor, where there is an underground parking. The run is cheap. The Paseo is pleasant, with few historical building and a nice view. From there one can walk back downhill in the narrow streets with colorful graffiti`s.

You can climb the colourful staircases quite easily to get to here from Plaza Sotomayor, or you can ride the short El Parel funicular, but either way, it leads to great views and there's also a nice restaurant and the mansion museum to explore before setting off to see the rest of the upper part of Valparaiso.

Nice place to wander, cool graffitis everywhere. I would recommend taking a free walking tour to get the most out of this place, ad it will give you the historical value, rather than just let you appreciate the art

Wow, what a beautiful building. It is now one of the best museums in the city. Still in great condition. The views from here are amazing.

In this part of the city are a few nicer houses.
Not in metal, but with stones.
This was the better part of the city.
