I travelled to Hobart for an interstate trip with family and stumbled across this park. It’s a great spot for kids to play as it’s has many different slides and equipment for kids of all ages. I love that it also had toilets available - which is not a common find in playgrounds. Loads of shade, picnic tables and seating. Definitely a great find!

The train park in West Hobart (off Hill Street) is a fantastic park for children. There is plenty of play equipment to cater for the large amount of children that visit.
Not far from the city and well worth the drive.

Public playground for young children with several slides of various sizes. Can keep children busy and excited for a long time. Not the typical park.

I took my little girl (7yo) and a friends little boy (3yo) for a play a few weeks ago and they had a fantastic afternoon.
It's a great place to spend time with children and friends.
They also have free barbecues if you want to cook lunch or dinner.
Clean toilets are also a bonus too and it's not too far to go to find a store to buy food if you decide to stay over meal times...
The children thoroughly enjoyed the play equipment and the bike track.

This is one of the best kids parks I've taken the kids to. Ages ranging from 2.5 to 5 and 7 and they all loved it. We spent a few hours there and the kids were still disappointed when we had to leave. Will definitely be a regular spot to go to each time we visit hobart.

Found this park thanks to earlier reviews! Kids loved it. Park is fenced, has BBQ, toilets and undercover area. Short bike track for kids, large fort, two long slides and of course a train. My kids are 6 and 8 and had a great time!

Lovely park for the kids, easy parking in suburban street. The park has picnic tables, shade cloth and lots to entertain small children.

This wonderful park has been constantly changing over the years. My family and I used to come here with my Dad and have a lovely afternoon tea in the Park on Fathers Day, and now it is still one of our favourites. It is only small so it can fill up early but there is so much to do for every age, it has great play equipment for little kids and big kids, big clean shaded barbeques, clean toilets and a very well set out park in the middle of the city.

Airport shuttle bus driver pointed it out for us and it was an everyday activity from then on! Great park! Shade for sitting, excellent slides and swings etc, a train track painted on the path for bikes - just fantastic. Kids just loved it.

A good place for children up to about 9 to fill in time. They will enjoy this as much as any tourist attraction. There are no particularly special features, but there's enough when combined with children's imaginations.

I don't think so, it is a matter of getting there early to get a table under shelter; my grandson had his third birthday at the train park April this year and he and his guests had a wonderful time. It is a good venue for a child's party. If you are concerned ring Hobart City Council and they would give you an answer. There are a few parks where you don't need to book. Hope your little girl enjoys her day.
