Western Victoria Gem.
paź 2019
As a lad brought up in the 50's and worked in the shearing sheds of many old homesteads the perfumes from the roses, flowers and the privet hedges, instantly take you back to bygone days, the vista when you walk through the gates is over whelming, take the guided tour or just walk around, the history grabs you, take your lunch or buy it on open days and sit back and enjoy, well worth a visit or two

Magic hideaway
paź 2019
We stayed overnight in a comfortable beautiful apartment within Narrapumelap House, Kevin, the host is so knowledgeable, easy to talk with, and quite charming....
We cannot wait to return, as this is a hidden gem.

Work in progress
kwi 2019 • Dla rodziny
Still a little bit of restoration work going on. The gardens are nice, but not that large. I assume there is / or will be accommodation available, which would be fantastic, as the house is beautiful, and once the restoration work is done it will be amazing.

What a fantastic French Gothic 1873 Mansion
maj 2018 • Pary
This was our 2nd visit to stay at Narrapumelap. The accommodation is just wonderful and it was great to see the recently added top on the tower completed at the end of last year. Kevin was so happy to take us up to see his work and explain all about it.
The accommodation is wonderful for a couple with a full kitchen, breakfast included, a bedroom, bathroom, dining area and a lounge with an open fire. Magic on a cold night.
Enjoyed walking through the rooms of the mansion again and it is all coming together slowly. Can't wait to revisit again soon.

Fascinating garden and beautifully restored homestead
gru 2015
I have visited Narrapumelap a few times over the last seven years and the owner has been restoring the rooms, adding new light fittings and some stained glass in appropriate places. He has done some memorable topiary on the trees at the front of the house, and planted a lovely garden. He has opened the house to the public a few times during Seniors Week, and the Ararat Information Centre have run a bus tour from the Ararat Station. He has also turned part of the building into a B&B which includes two bedrooms. This is a place that is really worth visiting, to see what a homestead on farmland looked like, and to hear the story of the restoration of a building that had become decrepit.

Inspiring Achievement
paź 2016 • Pary
There are two inspiring, intertwined stories here.

The first is the way in which owner, Kevin McIntyre rescued a once fine house from ruin. The second is the way he ingeniously recreated many features that would otherwise be unobtainable or prohibitively expensive. I am filled with admiration and some envy at the knife edged corners he achieved on his inbuilt cupboards.

Each of us take a different view of conservation. How faithfully should you try to restore a Victorian or Edwardian era home in this vastly different age? Some will applaud the exclusion of High Victorian fussiness to focus on the clean, noble proportions of the rooms. Others will find the lack of curtains, wallpaper friezes and carpets unbearably bleak.

Whatever your taste, you will find this homestead an informative and absorbing attraction.

A lovely Gothic mansion, lovingly restored by Kevin. A work in progress with the love and passion for the house explained carefully in a guided tour. Well worth a visit to witness this labour of love

Unexpected beauty in the bush.
lis 2014 • Znajomi
Narrapamulap is a beautiful, faded beauty being brought back to life with a lot of love and care.
This gorgeous French gothic grand home is a joy to behold. Kevin, who has loved this house for a long time and took steps to protect some of the features from destruction, is gradually bringing her back to life.
Well worth a visit and the lunch that is provided to groups is tasty.

Beautiful homestead
sie 2015 • Dla rodziny
A hidden treasure tucked away in the most unexpected place. If it wasn't for growing up in the area, I never would have known this place existed. The gardens are like something out of Alice In Wonderland. Magical, historical and beautiful all in one. I hope to get married here one day!
