The Green Room is a public house in the beautiful
Maharees in Co. Kerry
A place you’ll get a drink of choice but not a cup of tea.
The Bar assistant who had been collecting glasses , glanced our way when she heard our request and took off out of the bar. The barman said
I’m afraid she is gone . You’re out of luck.
Its quicker to make a cup of tea than pull a pint of Porter. But at the Green room it just didn’t happen . In our group there were two alcohol drinkers . One lady on serious meds who would have liked a cup of tea and I being a non drinker had some soft drinks.
There were unleashed dogs roaming freely between the tables in the outside semi roofed seating area.
It was not busy at the time. I have read good reviews about this place but did not experience the friendliness on this visit.
Luckily at the nearby village we were served well with everything we requested.
We will not be returning to the Green Room .

Well we've been there many times previous previous but this is my 1st review. It reminds me of the old Ronseal advertisement, "Does exactly as it says on the tin!", well it definitely does! It is an old 70's type pub, very clean, very basic and a good pint. To be honest it's perfectly suited for a stop in from your walk on the beach or after discovering the beautiful Maharees, or indeed stoping in to watch Kerry (Or any game) on the T.V. So yes I'd recommend a pint or 2 in the Green room

The Green room is exactly that. Had many a good nights here with plenty of local music talent. You never know what you're going to get.

Stopped here recently in April after Easter. The weather was superb so we drank outside in the sun. The elderly bar lady looked after us all and greeted the kids with friendliness.
There were a number of benches outside to sit on which were nicely in the sun.
The toilets inside were very clean and well looked after
