You could walk right past the Lord Harrowby and not realise, it's so unassuming. If you do go in, even if it's your first time, you'll be welcomed like you're a regular. Good selection of real ale(which changes every week) which is always in tip top condition thanks to the dedication of the Landlord and Landlady. Roaring fire in the winter. Word of caution: Darts and cribbage is taken very seriously in the Lord Harrowby (hence impressive collection of silverware)so woe betide anyone who decides to be excessively loud on match nights.

Friendliest real ale pub for miles
lut 2017 • Znajomi
The Lord Harrowby offers 5 cask conditioned real ales and a cider, served by friendly and knowledgeable landlord and landlady. There is also an extensive wine list and large selection of single malt whisky and gin. Large friendly lounge with real Fire with children welcome until 7pm. Sports Bar with large TV and darts plus separate pool room, also with TV. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too. Discount on real prices for CAMRA members. Regular beer festivals with live entertainment. Best pub in Grantham 2016 winners.

My Son's Local
cze 2016 • Dla rodziny
This pub is my son's local so it was only natural that we should pay a visit at the same time s my daughter was in the UK on holiday. The Lord Harrowby is a real town pub with a great Landlord and Landlady, a good choice of beers and cider and areally friendly atmosphere. It ain't big in size but it is huge in everything else.

Cracking Back Street Local Worth Locating.
kwi 2016 • Pary
This is reputedly the best pub in Grantham, and we liked it. A very warm welcome from the landlady, and from some regulars. They tend to have three pale beers, an amber beer and a dark one on, often from local microbreweries. I was even asked if I wanted a CAMRA discount something that pubs offering a CAMRA discount usually forget to mention or remind you about, so top marks for that.

Friendliest Local with Best Real Ale
mar 2016 • Znajomi
No doubt the best real ale pub in Grantham. Exceptionally friendly staff and locals - nobody is a stranger in here. Constantly changing, well kept range of quality real ales from local and micro-breweries form across the nation. Discounts for CAMRA members - just show your card.

Friendly and old fashioned in the best sense

This is a street corner pub, the like of which I thought had been run out of business by the large national chains in the town centre. It survives i guess as it is a place where people want to go for a quiet drink and chat with friends. Two bars of which the public bar can get very crowded at times due to sports teams either meeting there or watching the big games on TV. This is a pub like no other I have come across in that people say hello and goodbye. I struggled with this at first thinking they were talking to someone else but soon found it to be part of the welcoming charm of the place. Saloon bar is quieter but both are equally good natured. An open fire in lounge bar in winter and small courtyard garden for summer make this a relaxing place to visit throughout the year. A bit difficult to find as it is off any through road in an area of terraced housing but well worth the effort. They encourage small breweries with an ever changing selection so it is a mini beer festival and all at remarkably keen prices too.Easily my favourite pub in Grantham by a long way.
