Lovely local, Staff are friendly, Ale is always good, 2 home and 3 guest which are regularly changed, not the cheepest but has a large contingent of regulars. Mainly from the local sporting community.

I cannot understand how these owners can give people accounts so they can drink more than they can afford and more importantly allow some of them to drink excessively when they know the person has his car in the car park
I thought licensees had a duty of care to thier clients and the wider general public who are put at risk by drink driving

Nice local pub with friendly staff and nice atmosphere. People even bring their own dogs in with them.
With a wide variety of drinks including several Gins and IPAs you shouldn’t be short of choice.
There is also a function room available to hire at the back.

If we eat this side of town we usually pop in here for a couple, nothing really changes, staff are friendly enough , no issues all good!!

Good old fashioned English pub

A fabulous pub for socialising with friends and family or for just having a quiet drink. This is one of the few pubs left that doesn't bother with meals it focuses on selling good quality beer. It has a good selection of beers and lagers and guest beers. The regulars are friendly and the bar staff are great - Well worth a visit

The closest pub to me and it's a cracker. This is a traditional old Marstons pub and I doubt very much has changed over the years.
No yobs, no idiots - this is not the place to come for a wild night of jäger bombs before the club.
I'm 37 and I'm pretty much the youngest person in there!
Decent range of Marstons ales well kept and a guest ale.
Lovely atmosphere, full of interesting people who seem to hold their meetings there quite regularly!
No food here, just bar snacks and it opens at 4.45pm most days.
Lovely family pub, well run.

Been there a few times, the pub is a 'rugby' pub loads of rugby stuff on the walls, the prices are reasonable. No jukebox,

If we use an Indian restaurant in town we always start here, only been early part of the week, good beers and it's nice and relaxed
