About
Teruzzi is a contemporary valorization of ancient Tuscany, with its centuries-old tradition. It epitomizes the strong bond of a company with its area, its place of origin. Its journey has continually exalted the historical heritage, nobility and personality of San Gimignano, a true medieval jewel, and those of its most precious resource: Vernaccia.

Teruzzi was our great discovery on the way to our hotel. We made a pit stop for wine tasting and not only got delicious wine and snack, but also a fantastic view around beautiful Tuscany hills. We couldn't resist and came back again in couple days, this time we ordered picnic which amazing Luana organized for us in the middle of the vineyards. We had a beautiful relaxing day with good wine with Tuscany view.

After 7 years we went back and it is still as good and even better than we remembered it. The wine is very good and Luana is the most sweetest, enthusiastic person we met. She is also very kind and patiënt for the younger children.

This is a must visit if you are touring in the San Gimignano region of Tuscany. We were riding bikes through the countryside and stumbled across this roadside tasting room. Our host, Luana, immediately made us feel welcome. We decided to take a tour of the winery, which was just fantastic. Luana closed the shop and took us in her car out to the winery (about 5 minutes down the road) and we were given a personalised tour of the whole wine-making process. Luana has amazing knowledge of the local region and can answer any question on wine! We also found out she speaks four languages!
We then had wine tasting and a platter of cold meats, olives and cheese back at the roadside hut, which offers an amazing view of the region all the way to San Gimignano.
On top of this incredible experience, Luana and her family even helped us when we realised we had a punctured tyre on one of our bikes.
We highly recommend popping in here, even just for a tasting as the wine is absolutely delicious and Luana is the perfect host.

My husband and I came to the Teruzzi & Puthod direct sales point after a disappointing experience at another large winery in the area. Since we had already had lunch, we enjoyed the small snack of salami and cheese with our wine tasting. As we were deciding which bottles to buy, I asked to taste a small sample of a red wine that wasn't included in our tasting experience, and the staff obliged without charging us extra for the taste. We liked the quality of the wines and bought two bottles, which were reasonably priced. The outdoor tasting area looks out onto the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

This wine tasting excursion is so much fun. The staff are a joy to spend time with and the warehouse tour is a nice bonus. Great food and wine!

This little road side building was a hidden gem. The views from outside were tremendous. We tried all of their wines and fell in love with the Vernaccia isola blanca wine. This is important for 2 reasons. 1) Vernaccia is the grape the region is famous for and 2) We generally do not like white wines, so this was quite the pleasant surprise. There is plenty of seating outside, but the inside is very small, so there may be seating issues if the weather is bad.

We arrived to the Teruzzi and Puthod direct sale point after a recommendation from our b&b owner. The lady at the store, Luana, was very kind and we booked a tour+tasting formate that day. During the whole tour she gave us all the information we needed and asked for. Her English was well and her want to share her knowledge was endless. After the tour we came back for the tasting which was accompanied by pecorino cheese, salami and crackers. The wine was excellent! We highly recommend the visit.

The morning started with a tour of the winery. Our hostess showed us the special stainless, refrigerated tanks used to ferment the grapes after they are gathered from the field and then we toured the bottling plant. Both of these wine production elements were cutting edge when they first introduced. After a short drive, we visited the T&P enoteca. It was there we were treated to some delicious local cheeses and meats that were paired with equally delicious wines produced by this vintner. All in all it was a lovely, leisurely visit made all the more so by our fantastic hostess, Luana.

Sometimes you just have to follow your instincts! My husband's told him to turn off the road and into the grounds of Teruzzi & Puthod and we are so happy we did! There we were warmly greeted by Luana who has been working for this beautiful vineyard for 12 years. She was bubbly, passionate and extremely knowledgeable about her wine, the Tuscany area, let alone the entire vitner experience. We were fortunate to be given a spontaneous tour and were even able to pick grapes off the vine. The wine we purchased was of course delectable and this was one of the best experiences we had in beautiful San Gimignano!

We understood the winery was just out of San Gimignano where we were staying but it turned out to be a little further than we thought.NO PROBLEM....I contacted Luana,in charge of the tours and she came to the hotel to collect us(party of 4).How is that for customer service ??
Luana was a true delight and gave us a great 2hour tour and tasteing.AND then dropped us back to San Gimignano.
Please book with Luana...you will not be disappointed
