Excellent Roman collection
lut 2020
Some paintings on the first floor but the ground floor is the most interesting. All artifacts were found in the town itself, including mosaic floors. You can see some great 13/14 Century frescoes removed from various convents and churches as well as tiles and examples showing how the whole city's buildings, grand and humble, were all richly decorated in medieval times.

Very cool museum

I thought this was a really interesting "regional" museum. Holds some excellent pieces of art but also has a number of rooms with archeological pieces as well. Really quite nice, quiet and calm.

Beautiful, but not very known

Interesting archeology. The pinacoteca has some paintings post- mannerism from 17-18 century. The Santa Caterina is peaceful inside, with some beutiful frescoes remains and the Tomaso de Modena panels saved from Santa Margherita, depicting the St ursula story

Goldstone Exhibit
mar 2019 • Dla rodziny
Visiter the NASA echibit located in the Barstow Harv House. Great exhibits about Space Exploration. Now the Goldstone tours are restricted this is the best place to find out about NASA and the Goldstones giant antennas. Lots of great photos, a vice about space, many models of space projects. Docents are very knowledgeable about exhibits. Extra things to;,The Harvey, Rail museum and Route 66 (weekends only.)

Fantastic Museum
wrz 2018 • Dla rodziny
This was one of the highlights of our trip. We were The only people in the Museum and we enjoyed the peace and tranquillity that this bought when looking around marvellous pictures and architecture in the chapel on the side of the museum.
This is a must visit when in Treviso.

World class
sie 2018 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
Italy has so much to offer! This museum will be a major attraction in any other part of the world, except in Italy. Despite the fact that it only has descriptions in Italian, the quality of the works of art is outstanding for those who like the Italian Art. Some major names are on display. It has a beautiful church with many wonderful frescos. Furthermore, if it is too hot outside, it makes an excellent detour. The museum contains also Roman art (mosaics) and some archaeological objects. It is much more interesting than the Modern Art Museum in the same city. You can buy a combined ticket to visit both on the same day.

The new Civic Museum is the Old Saint Catherine's Convent a Great Place while on your stroll around Treviso, there's also an Artifact that I found with my Co worker at the time Mr Renzo Dalbo, it's a Venician Memorial Stone from the 16th Century we found It on a dig by the side of the River Sile.Have a nice stroll 👍

Only Italian descriptions
paź 2017 • Pary
The only reason why I am giving this museum three stars is because everything inside is in Italian. The only have some very short explanations in English as you enter each room and that's it. Their archeological collection seems rich (everything is from the Treviso region), but unless you are profficient in Italian, you just end up looking at objects without having any idea what they represent. The people working there also didn't speak English, and although guided tours in other languages are offered, a group of minimum 15 is required. Unfortunately the gallery was not opened to public (they are making some renovations), but only the archeological part and the Santa Catherina church with some amazing frescos. All in all, it was a nice visit, and I really hope they will offer some English explanations in the future.

An absolute gem
cze 2017 • Pary
Treviso is a lovely town and seemed to have plenty of visitors, but we were inexplicably alone when we visited. The attendants were all at the front desk, we were asked which rooms we wanted to see first, and then one of them came with us and sat discretely in the corner as we made our way round.

The out and out show stopper is the nave of the old church. It is a fine building, but surpasses itself with a stunning presentation of "Le storie di Sant'Orsola", a series of frescoes by Tomaso da Modena that were saved from the demolition man's wrecking ball by Luigi Bailo. (After whom the really good Civic Museum is justly named.)

We also had time for the small and easily digested gallery of paintings, but not enough time to see the archaeology section. And we came back another evening for some music in the cloistered garden, which was as delightful a venue as you can imagine.

Truly, a gem; but where was everyone?

No Impressionists
lip 2017 • Pary
OK, the impressionists have been moved to the Bailo, so if you want modern, head over there. Here you'll find frescoes, both those painted in this church (when it was a church) and a dozen+ large panels removed form another church before it was to be demolished. that, and the history of Treviso, with Roman sculpture, mosaics, and artifacts donated by locate collectors. Then there are the paintings done by local artists in the past, worth a couple of hours, and you get a guide, to boot. Trust me, the place is a maze, you need the guide just to get around. Don't think you don't, and since there's no extra charge for the guide, go for it.
