I saw the cutest little shoes for my grandson, she didn't have our size so directed us to "the other store" a short walk away. When we got to the other store we found shorts in a color we liked better and he let is just exchange everything! And we got the shoes and a cute hat for my grandson. Both the husband and wife were charming and the prices were very fair.

This little shop is wonderful - run by a lovely, warm lady named Heidi Zidan. I wanted a dirndl, which is a dress, blouse and apron in a traditional German style and found one here at a very inexpensive price. It is a mom and pop shop (the pop shop is on Harrngassee 36) and has a nice but not overwhelming range of clothes for the whole family chosen and ordered by Heidi. I love mine and will wear it for Oktoberfest. I tried to talk my husband into a Lederhosen, but to no avail. it is a good thing to support small local shops that have quality goods and I felt this was one worth going to if you are in Rothenburg.

This was the only store for traditional Bavarian clothing I saw in Rothenburg. While the clothing was lovely and appeared to be high quality, the prices were also quite a bit higher than most of the other similar stores I saw in the region. Additionally, there were multiple signs posted throughout the store saying "DO NOT TOUCH" and, well, if I'm looking at making that kind of investment, I want to be able to feel the fabric and look at small details.
Long story short, if you just want something fun to wear for Oktoberfest and you're going pretty much anywhere else in Bavaria, save your money. If you want to invest in a high-quality dirndl or set of lederhosen, this might be the place you would want to look. Just don't touch.

Heidi was fantastic. I told my wife I was looking for a Alpine hat and in a few moments we were ringing up a dirndle and lederhosen along with the hat and socks. We were all ready to have a great time at Oktoberfest. These traditional clothes are a must at Oktoberfest. We have worn them on a couple of occasions in Wisconsin at the local German restaurant also.
