Centrally located, this is a fascinating place to visit – both indoors and out. Inside it’s nice and cool, a bonus. Here you can see a wide selection of local produce – fresh fruit and vegetables, but more importantly all the different Corsican charcuterie and cheese. There’s even a wine bar!

We were in town for the day, so a stop at the market was a good way to spend some time. We strolled among the vendors with their lovely produce, most of which was grown locally. Some prepared foods as well. Friendly place.

We loved this market, even though it is a mere stroll from the cruise ship it was not at all touristy. We mingled with the locals going about their daily shopping. We thought it felt like France 30 years ago.
Bought local wild honey which we found it to be very strong when we tasted it back home, so try before you buy if possible. And hand made soaps which now make my bathroom smell gorgeous even though they are in the cupboard.
Plenty of tasting opportunities, wish we had bought some of the cured meats which were delicious & tender. We thought it was a no-no on the ship but if it's vacuum packed you can take it back.

Thought it was an extremely interesting market (even by France' standards, which sets the bar quite high) as most products are not found anywhere else. For example, they sell charcuterie from livestock that not only ranges freely but feeds from wild chataignes and the cheeses (ignore the "seemingly rotten" look) are absolutely unique. I often go to some of the best specialized cheese stores in France and had never seen any of these before. They also have products from nearby Sardinia and interesting to see how the food is completely different from one island to another.

Located near the cruise ship pier in the center of Ajaccio, this is a small local market featuring meats and cheeses. Also has an array of olives and veggies. Was the only market we visited on our cruise that had samples to try. Worth a visit.

Lot of people and goods in the market. Rush place in great square.
The biggest issue is parking. There is no place to park a car. Only two areas with very limited capacity.

My family visited there on June 19. At that time our cruise MS.Azamara Quest stopped over at Ajaccio pier. We started walking from cruise to all tourists attractions near port. That place was part of our shore excursion program. It’s really great and happy time for us. We love to see these place and people were amazing. Also lovely cheese and wine tasting experience there was fantastic. We found fresh fruits, cheese, honey, sausage, meat, vegetables, wine, snacks and many other local food. It’s lovely and must see Corsican traditional food market as well. Recommend.

We had a stroll through this market as it was right opposite the cruise terminal, most of the stalls had local produce of meats, cheeses and oils etc, also fruit and vegetables which looked very nice indeed. Enjoyed the walk through the market.

Absolutely tantalizing local farmer's market. Would appear that this market happens on a daily basis until noon. So much local grown produce and local olives, sausages and cheese. Makes ones mouth water when you pass by these stalls. Some tasting samples available. Always pleasant to wander through local markets.
