We were in Bordeaux for the weekend and as I am using crutches at the moment and cannot walk far we decided to visit this quaint little museum for our wine tasting experience.
It is indeed a tiny venue consisting of a bottle & Gift shop the ground floor and a large cellar museum beneath.
The cellar is full of interesting stories & artefacts relating to the winemaking and history of Bordeaux.
Our host for the wine tasting session, I forget her name, my bad, but she did mention that she wants to be Queen of her own Chateau, was friendly and very well informed on the subject, answering ours and other questions put by the other person attending. All in all a very rewarding visit and well worth the money. I would thoroughly recommend as visit if you are in town.

The woman who presented the wine tasting should be given a raise. She is well informed, friendly and kind. We are seasoned wine drinkers and tasters from California but we didn’t know much about Bordeaux wines. This woman taught us so much in 30 minutes….Go to this place ….you will learn a lot.

A small mouldy cellar with a self-guided excursion. Afterwards they offer you to try two local wines with a little bit of local pastry.
I would not say that it is a terrible experience, but I doubt if it is worth 10 EUR per person.

This was our first tour at the beginning of our Bordeaux trip. We were able to see how the area and its trade history developed into a main hub of European wines. Lovely exhibits of original photos, artifacts etc. Definitely worth a visit!!

Eva hosted our wine tasting after our tour. We learned a lot about the French wine making process as well as trying several popular styles. It was our first day in Bordeaux - Eva took the time to suggest a few restaurants, bars, and tourist sites. This improved our trip to Bordeaux. English, French, and Spanish were spoken at the museum. We spent about one hour during the tour and tasting.

Interesting self-guided tour. Good stop for when it’s hot out. Tried 3 types of wine at the end with a very helpful woman who spoke excellent English. Even got a free bottle of wine per person! Would recommend if you’d like to learn about some history of Bordeaux wine.

I paid 10 euro to visit the museum and a tasting. I arrived for the tasting at 4:30pm as instructed, and was asked if I speak French. I said a little and I understood most of what was said. The guide spoke to and poured wine for the couple I was supposed to be tasting with. He never looked at me, spoke to me, or poured wine for me. This went on for 10 minutes. I voiced my displeasure to other staff and departed. If you are not French, don't waste your time.

Good morning, We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate experience you had at our museum. Our team at the museum always strives to provide the best possible experience for our visitors. I would like to clarify the situation. Upon your visit, you were asked about your language preference for the wine tasting. You informed us that you preferred English but also mentioned that you spoke a bit of French. Typically, we explain at the beginning of the tour that after its conclusion, visitors need to return to the boutique to indicate their readiness for the tasting. Unfortunately, when you finished the tour, you found yourself at a wine tasting event conducted in French. When my colleague asked if you had already participated in the tasting, you confirmed that you had. This led to a misunderstanding, as he believed you were merely sitting to relax. When you approached us to explain the situation, we attempted to communicate with you, but unfortunately, there was not enough time for a constructive conversation. Your frustration was evident when you exclaimed that we could keep the ten euros, leaving our staff perplexed as they tried to comprehend what had transpired. We sincerely apologize for this complete misunderstanding, and we are committed to ensuring that such situations do not occur again. We take pride in hosting foreign tourists, and a significant portion of our team is not French. Our museum aims to be a multicultural space for exchanging information and learning about wine. Kind regards, and we hope you have a pleasant holiday season.

Great little museum even for people already familiar with the Bordeaux wine trade history. Especially liked the movie recreation of a ship captain's letter home after visit to Bordeaux in the early 1800's. The tasting was very informative on all of the different wine making areas in Bordeaux.

Had a lovely hour walking around this small museum. Handed a booklet in English to provide extra background information. All exhibits have an English translation as well as subtitles on video clips. Walked around at own leisure. After a presentation and wine tasting with Eiva was fascinating. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend. No pressure to buy in the shop but there are some good soveigners.
