Safe swimming and clean sandy beach with toilet block.

A lovely family friendly beach with a large grassy area which is ideal for ball games. Some picnic tables and waste bins are provided. It is well mainted by the local council. The one downside is the parking on the grass can be muddy after rain.

A great spot

A wonderful bay with car parking and toilets in a quiet area. Remote but beautiful. The beach is rocky at one end but as the tide goes out the sand is revealed and it's a great spot to while away time.

Best beach around.

Happened to find this beach quite by accident and is just on the outskirts of Kircudbright on the B road to Borgue. Wide sandy beach with ample car park and toilets. The beauty of this beach is that it is sheltered with little wind compared to other beaches facing the Solway Firth.

Great kayaking spot when the winds in the right direction eg south or south west, hour or so after high tide good fun!

Bay with a wreck

We stayed at a cottage close to the bay, so visited daily, fantastic sunrises. When the tides out there’s a 100+ year wreck visible. There’s a little tree swing, along the tree line. Quite a few picnic benches and toilets available.

A natural sandy beach in a peaceful setting. Good for bathing/paddling, building sandcastles. Ideal for children and popular with dog owners. Council toilets and car park. Large grassed area with picnic benches. No easy access to beach for wheelchairs. No traffic problems generally. Some of the selfish dog owners are too lazy to clean up but fortunately not a major problem.

a lovely beach with easy parking close to Kirkcudbright. the tide goes out a long way but even with the tide in there is space to walk the dog, enjoy the space and chill.

lovely clean beach, has public toilets and a grassed area with picnic benches. when the tide is out you can see the remains of an old ship.

Pretty views but lots of mud

Far from being my favourite beach as the mud from the river makes everything look dirty. Better beaches elsewhere but the view is pretty.

i have never looked for it here,its quite sandy , but there are other stoney beaches in the area where sea glass can be found.
