They're killing badgers

We won't go near anywhere that's choosing to participate in the horrifying and unnecessary badger cull slaughter. Shame.

Only go here if you don't care about wildlife. Badger killers and if you want an ethical stay, avoid like the plague

Avoid at all costs, they allow the badger cull on their land NOW and allow illegal hunting with dogs of foxes and fox cubs

Was planning a visit, that is until I have read via social media that they are participating in the badger cull!!!!!!!!!!!!! will avoid and tell family and friends to avoid.. disgusted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fabulous lunch in a grand dining room, before a guided tour of an interesting house and garden

Despite arriving a little late, we were entertained to a delightful lunch in the dining room, before being taken on a tour of the house by the owner’s charming and knowledgeable daughter. We were then allowed free time in the extensive gardens, and had an ‘honesty box’ tea and delicious cake in the tearoom. Altogether a lovely experience.

Choose time of visit carefully

Went Easter weekend and the garden was not at its best.
Spring plants past and summer plants still coming through.
Woodland walk was nice put paths need to be clearer.
Staff friendly and helpful.
A visit to the gents is a must for the blokes!!

Dear themikeenland Thank you for your comments. I apologise for the delay in replying.Today I was shown how to press the correct buttons! One of the problems with opening at Easter, it moves around the calendar. Also, you are a knowledgeable gardener, the weather can bring plants on ahead of time or, work in the reverse. I do hope that you will return to the garden here at Kentchurch Court one day. Jan

Interesting place with lovely gardens and plant centre (great plants at very reasonable prices) Run pretty much on an honesty box method, so unusual in this day and age!

Dear emsalan2016 Thanks to a very kind person called Bea, I am now up to speed on how to respond to revues!! I apologise for not getting in touch earlier. I think that the Honesty Box still has a place in this world and I love listening to the response, when visitors discover it. I hope that you will visit again and see some of the new plantings. Thanks to the contributions in the Honesty Box, the money has helped finance the harden upkeep, fuel, seeds, a new strimmer and maintenance of the ride on mower. Jan

Excellent guided tour by lively owner

We were a small group keen to see the house and estate. Our visit included coffee and a delicious 2 course lunch, beautifully served in the dining room. The owner provided a warm welcome, a comprehensive and enthusiastic tour of the house including pictures and furniture, and a clear insight into the difficulties of running such a historically interesting estate. The house is set in a magical part of the world, and my group was privileged to visit and to be so well received.

Lovely autumn colours

Ignore all reviews from years gone by as a lot of work has been done recently and the gardens were lovely. Autumn was setting in, so some of the borders were going over but there was still plenty of colour in them. A walk through the woods and past the house and deer park was also good. Plants for sale too at good prices and refreshments in the barn. You must look in the Ladies toilets as they are classic!
