Don’t expect too much and then you will enjoy. As I have visited some beautiful beaches in the Philippines, I was probably expecting too much.

A much needed relaxation away from work.

I was surprised when we arrived at the Kaputian beach resort, the bangka ride was so relaxing, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the resort, you can see pearl farm from a far, and other nearby resort. we stayed at hof gorei resort. i did not expect that there is a hidden paradise in these place. Will come soon and will bring my friends with me.

Clean beach for swimming but strong current
paź 2018 • Znajomi
Beautiful clean beach for swimming.
Lots of huts undercover and in shaded areas to have a picnic with families
Entrance has a visible security presence for safety.
Suprisingly no food or drink vendors are allowed to ply their trade inside the beach area.
The showers available are outdoors only and there is no drainage for the soapy water to go to which is disappointing.

Location: Accessible by "habal-habal" from the port where barges from Sasa wharf dock. Barge fare is 10php and motorcycle fare is upon negotiation with the driver. There are ferries going to and from Talicud (20 php). There is a 7 am trip to Davao from Kaputian port. The road is developed so the motorcycle ride is not bad.

The beach park is located next to the Kaputian Port. There is a fruit market and a fish market nearby. Small stores line the street. Across the beach park is a restaurant that serves fried chicken. Sabang cliff is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the beach park so exploring it without a guide is an adventurous experience as the road leading to it is lush green and filled with mangroves.

Room: There are 3 private rooms for rent. Open cottages are for rent for 100 pesos and tents are 350. Unless you have a foam, pitching a tent on the hard sand can get too uncomfortable at night and it can also get warm in the tent. It is really crowded so it is hard to get a private room in this beach park without prior reservation.

Price: 80 for overnight entrance fee. Tent is 350. Private room is about 700-800. Open cottage is 100. Pillow is 50.

Amenities: Flooded dirty bathroom with dilapidated stalls that everyone who walks into the bathroom sees anyone peeing or showering.

Recommendation: I'd rather spend the day or night in another resort in Samal or go to Talicud instead. While the sea may be pretty and the sand is off-white, it is filled with all sorts of garbage. Empty liquor bottles and candy/chip wrappers are everywhere. I stepped on a broken piece of glass while taking an afternoon walk on the sandy beach. The tourists and the beachgoers should take responsibility for their trash or the staff should strictly enforce a rule on cleanliness. In addition to the trash, urinating by the concrete stairs and into the sea is done with no restriction at all! Occasional retching from drunk beachgoers happen too.

If it were not for I ♥ SAMAL, this beach park has, in my opinion, nothing special to offer. It is probably wise to stick to the purpose of going there to take a picture on the I ♥ SAMAL and take a dip elsewhere.

We just dropped by this resort to take photos on their shoreline as it has "I <3 SAMAL" and very scenic place to capture great moments with friends! It appears clean and a great place to stay for family and friends.

Swimming is also possible at low water levels. The water is clean and clear. Friday to Sunday it has many people and big families. Food is available outside. Barbecue is possible. Cheap entry 15 php per person. The toilets are terrible, why do not the Philippines fix that? Showers are possible. Friendly staff and willing to help you clean the tables, the area and the beach.

We arranged with Anton, the staff from Kara's Kubotel, our habal habal (Php 600 per person) going to different places. We had Kaputian as one of the destinations. Though quite far, it was worth it!

Pristine, lovely beach

Went there with my parents. Took the habalhabal from Samal Island proper. Beach was clean. White, fine sand. There was an entrance of 15pesos. We went there on a weekday afternoon so there wasn't much of a crowd. Must visit. Would love to have spent the night there but we were checked in somewhere else. For tours, transportation, and resort recommendations you may contact Darwin at 09365126859 or Loyloy at 09466429715. Tell them you were referred by me (Jerwin) and maybe ask for a discount 😂✌

You can get to the resort from Sasa Wharf, Ride a ferry for 10 pesos and the ferry will dock at Babak Ferry terminal, Ride a habal to Kaputian beach and you can enjoy their fine sand beach for an entrance fee of 25 pesos. Yes, and just rent a cottage and youre good to go.
