Beautiful Beach

This is a very popular beach in the summer. While we were here we saw people surfing. The sea was beautiful and blue with some nice rock formations. The sand is very clean. There is some disabled parking right down on the beach.

What a find. Beautiful bay with lifeguard, toilets, little cafe, free parking. Love this place, just perfect, we even had sunshine, swimming felt very safe and no crowds...

Amazing

We have never been to this part of the country before and as a result haven't been to this beach.
I can see why it was awarded a certificate of excellence. Life Guards, toilet, coffee shop, beach shop, etc.
It's an extremely clean and tidy beach. It's a dog friendly beach and we don't have dogs ourselves, I can say I did not see any dogs mess there at all.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beach and Bay to anyone.

An unexpected delight – fine sand, lifeguard, toilets and café. What’s not to like?
sie 2020
We came upon the bay almost by chance, as it is part of the spectacular coastal walk from Eyemouth to St Abbs (recommended but stout shoes are essential and you need to be reasonably fit). It was something of a surprise to find a sandy bay on this rocky coastline but the walk had been a spur of the moment decision. There are beach huts, a café, toilets and parking (I’m told). The beach was quite busy but it was a sunny day and there were plenty of families just chilling out but there appeared to be organised snorkelling too. Reassuringly, there was a lifeguard in attendance. Our verdict: a real gem.

Body boarding visit

We always come to Coldingham when holidaying in the area. The main beach is a beautiful crescent of sand. It’s very shallow gradient and safe for families. There are lifeguards too.

There’s a good beach cafe and public toilets so you can be comfortable and get hot drinks (hot chocolate) to warm you up after a chilly dip in the sea.

To the north is a short coast walk to St Abbs, to the south is a grassy knoll called Homeli Knoll. It’s a good hill for views but it’s steep so careful with those younger older or just less steady in their feet. The other side of this is a much quieter shale beach for solitude, contemplation and skimming stones.

Great beach day
lip 2020
We had sunny weather, and crucially this beach is sheltered from several wind directions (north, west, south) so feels warmer than many beaches in this region.

There's a free car park and then a little walk down a hill. Its a lovely crescent of sand, with walks available at either end to scenic viewpoints within a minute or two. From the hill directly to the south of the beach, when the tide is in and it is sunny the water looked almost turquoise! Almost. It was a calm day.

You can also walk around the headland to the south to the next bay where there is a natural rock pool to swim in (at lower to mid-tide) which on a calm, sunny day also looks almost turquoise.

I'll be back.

Nice beach

It can be really busy if it's a sunny day. There are far to many wasps. It's annoying because all I want to do is just eat a banana. It's a shame because I love this beach.

Beautiful

Gorgeous sandy cove, good parking, ice creams and coffee, lovely walk to St Abb's. If the wind is set right you can surf and bodyboard here, if not you can swim and soak in clean waters.

One of our favourite visits while staying in Eyemouth. Lovely walks with nice views, close car parking to the beach, and lovely clean toilets.
