Rappelling, climbing, swimming, via ferratas, free-jumps, body rafting and exhilarating zip-lines all in one full invigorating day.NO experience is necessary. But words of advice...do not compare us with other adventure tour companies. You might fool yourself! Others can serve as warm-ups or slightly test you for the real thing. Ours is a hardcore adventure! This is for real! It is physically demanding and requires sharp and attentive participants. For safety reasons a fast pace is require. You will also be scrambling under and over boulders in blackness only aided by your headlamp and physical abilities. You will be trained and required to climb hundreds of feet and to make the safety clips on your own. You will have your life, literally, in your own hands. Your guides are trained and certified professionals and will assist and train you during your adventure; however, your safety ultimately rests with you. Your first step is to check the requirements to be able to participate. Please, DO NOT reserve if you cannot comply with every single one of them … seriously. However, if you think you are ready, you can go straight for a once in a lifetime Caving challenge which will guaranteed to reward you with an intoxicating adrenalin rush.Accept the Challenge!

This adventure is a most do for anyone who loves to leave behind the bustle of city life and enter into the wilderness. The adventure guides were all extremely knowledgeable and made the trip not only fun, but educational as well. I left the trip feeling inspired to start rock climbing again. These guides gave all of the necessary instructions and tools to have a safe trip. That being said, if you are not somewhat physically fit this may not be the trip for you. It requires a good deal of physical exertion but even more importantly requires you to be aware of your surroundings. I do recommend reading all FAQs before packing your day bags because all of your questions will be answered there.
The facilities and the bus were all exceptionally clean to be part of this caving adventure where you leave covered in mud. My only complaint with the whole trip was how cold the water felt after we ate lunch, but lets be honest, that’s not something they can control. On top of offering a great adventure, Rosario makes time to take exceptional pictures of everyone in the group that will forever be remembered. You can tell these guides take true pride in offering an experience to be remembered and enjoyed. I have already recommended this trip to multiple friends and family members and do hope to return later this year or next year to experience it again.

I had the most amazing experience on this tour! Definitely gets your adrenaline pumping, honestly I've never been more terrified in my life. I found it so reassuring that the guide, Rosanno and his crew had been training climbers and much more for a very long time. Safety is always prioritized and they made it so fun! They are funny and personable. As for the experience itself you're climbing across cliff walls, ziplining, and swimming/trekking in a cave?....Better than a dream I absolutely loved it. From the equipment to the experiences you get, it is worth more than the price. I went in April of 2021 and I would highly recommend going then the water levels for the water falls and the caves are just right.

If you are questioning this experience, don't question any further and book right away! We had the most incredible time with Rossano and his team. From the first few minutes of them picking us up until the very end, each detail was highly thought out and a truly unforgettable experience. We were challenged physically and mentally by zip-lining, rappelling, swimming in darkness in a cave, and climbing! You don't need any experience, you just need to be attentive and a good listener when the team is explaining safety procedures, etc. Cannot say enough good things about this adventure. Thank you Rossano and team, you guys went above and beyond!!

My wife reserved Aventuras Tierra Adentro's Cueva Angeles adventure for us to experience with a group of friends in celebration of my birthday. I expected a physical challenge and fun excursion. Rossano and his entire team at Aventuras Tierra Adentro (Fico, Hexan and Jasmine), however, far exceeded my expectations and ended up blowing me (and all my friends) away with the most memorable travel/tourism experience of my life.
First and foremost, Rossano and his crew run a veritable world-class operation. Their emphasis on safety will set even the most hesitant participant at ease. This focus on safety, however, does not come at the expense of entertainment. Were he not an experienced caver, Rossano could make a living from his energy, personality and humor. You will be laughing from the moment they roll up to pick you up at the meeting place until they drop you off 11 hours later.
From the wonders of the natural environment to the exciting and challenging zip lines, caving, rappelling, and climbing, the trek is an attraction in itself. But Rossano and his team take everything to the next level. No detail goes unaddressed: from Rossano's penchant for the dramatic to his team's effort to ensure that the entire trek is accompanied by a carefully selected and perfectly timed soundtrack, to a candlelit lunch in the cave. The team clearly is passionate about putting together a world-class experience and ensuring that everyone leaves wanting to return.
If you are considering booking this, stop considering and do it. Take it from someone who has traveled the world: it is an experience of a lifetime. And take it from someone who has lived the better part of his life in Puerto Rico: there is absolutely nothing better, more exciting and rewarding to do with your time on this island.

I found this tour after doing some preliminary research on adventures in Puerto Rico. It was clear that this was the best choice as it consistently had the best reviews and was the most well-rated. I’ve done a few guided caving tours before but this one was so much better because it also included zip lining, rappelling, walking on chords over the jungle, swimming, etc.
First and foremost I was most impressed with the staff’s priority on safety. The head guide, Rossano, is a big deal professional climber and caver and knew when to take things seriously and made us beginners feel comfortable, but he is also hilarious and I can’t imagine any other guide doing a better job. It was the perfect mix of letting us do things independently without sacrificing safety. I am afraid of heights but with the emphasis on safety, the training provided, and the hands on support of the guides, I felt completely safe and had a ton of fun rappelling down the cliff wall to the cave entrance and zip lining above the jungle.
The majority of the adventure is spent inside the cave, which is an amazing experience in and of itself. You must be a proficient swimmer as you’ll get completely soaked. As their website states, you can be a beginner to do this tour (no one in our group of 10 had real experience) but don’t take it lightly! This is a strenuous, physically demanding entire day adventure and you must be decently athletic or at least in decent shape to do this safely. They provide you with life jackets, a backpack, and all the equipment you’ll need, including ziplock baggies so I was able to double bag my phone and take it with me on the adventure even though at times you are nearly entirely submerged in water. My phone was fine and stayed dry. Since I was the only one with a camera, Rossano even set up some incredible photo opportunities for me to get the lighting from our headlights exactly right.
Lastly, the customer service was outstanding. I don’t want to ruin some of the fun treats but seriously you could tell the team really goes out of their way to provide a superior tour. Thank you, Rossano and team, for the highlight of our trip to PR!

Rossano and his crew (Esp Frico) were AMAZING in terms of personality, safety, energy, and overall experience they gave us. This is a really intense workout and I would only suggest it for those currently active, preferably those with zipline or rock climbing experience but neither are necessary. It’s a long day, super wet and muddy, super fun! Really high adrenaline rushes. It is WELL WORTH the $206 price tag (with taxes) and I highly suggest this for anyone looking for some adventure in Puerto Rico. Get a good nights sleep and don’t be hungover! Again, the crew was great I can’t say enough great things. They even stopped at a rest stop on the long bus ride home just for ME to pee :) Haha enjoy!

This was crazy - in the most positive way! The owner of this adventure is amazing! His energy is contagious and he obviously loves bringing people on this journey with him. We had the best time! The owner is informative & cares about whether we live or die (ha ha - he emphasizes this) & especially that we have the experience of a lifetime! His team was incredible. Can't say enough about all of them. Aventuras Tierra Adentro, Inc is only doing 10 more tours so book while you can! You will talk about this for years to come!

We visited PR and took this tour in March. I waited a little longer to give this review just want to see if this is a truly unforgettable experience. Turns out, it truly is!!! Since we came back from PR, we have been talking about this tour all the time, almost everything in our daily life an trigger the experience we had during the tour: humorous and knowledgeable stuff, ziplines, rappelling, climbing and most important of all: cave adventure!
Another thing is, this type of adventure seems a little to my teammate, she was a little intimidated and exhausted during the trip. However, Rossano and his stuff members didn’t give us up, instead they cheered her up through their humor, they waited patiently while we lagged behind, they helped her out while she couldn’t make it.
Words cannot express how grateful we are for your help and the unique experience you and your team brought to us. In addition to a great thank you to you all, I definitely will recommend you to all my friends who are planing a trip to PR.
Thank you!!!

Thank your ATA for the adventure of a lifetime. It is truly an unforgettable trek where you experience four adventures (zip-linning, rappelling, caving, and climbing) in one. Rosanno and his team (Fico, Hexan, and Jasmin) are energetic, funny, patient, and true professionals with years of experience. They make safety and training a top priority, making you feel safe the entire time, This, in turn, lets you enjoy every single aspect of the adventure, especially if you are a beginner or doing this for the first time. Rosanno is incredibly funny and full of energy. The team goes above and beyond to make this experience unique, with many surprises up their sleeves (which I will not share so as not to spoil them). The facilities are very nice, clean and well thought out. You will have access to a bathroom, changing area and showers, all in the middle of the wilderness. It's just perfect! The years of experience and attention to their clients’ needs during this adventure truly shows. It is a flawless experience where there is no detail missing; they really think of anything you could need or want, and execute before you even know you need/want it. If you come to (or live in) PR and don't book an adventure with ATA, you will be missing out on one of the best things (perhaps even THE very best) this Island has to offer. I truly can't wait to do this again. Thanks again ATA! We will talk about this for years to come.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was so awesome I just had to. This excursion was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Puerto Rico. I visited with two friends. I am very afraid of heights, but managed to get through the adventure without crying thanks to the support of the team. Most people on the adventure were very experienced rock climbers, athletes, etc. but my friend and I got through with just being gym rats/light hikers. You need to be pretty physically fit for this adventure.

How do I book this caving tour? I saw on the website that says call for availability but my calls haven't been picked up. Please let me know as I really want to join this tour and I need to book it asap. Thank you!

When I took the tour, last May 2021, they said they were ending the tour end of June/July. I believe they are officially closed; I can’t confirm, but this is what the owner said on the bus ride home.

I booked this adventure for my husband and I on our honeymoon in March. I’ve been reading and am realizing how much anxiety the cave part is giving me. How long do you stay in the caves? More specifically, are there many tight areas you stay in for a long period of time?

You are in the caves for a couple of hours. It is actually quite a large area in there. However, there are a few tight areas you shoot through with the water, you are not in the small areas very long.
Hi, looks like you guys are not open Sun, and Monday? is it correct?

Where could i find something similar to this in the U.S.A.? This was one of the best excursions i have ever been on and would like to see if the company has any recommendations for other similar or even more challenging experiences in the U.S.

Is it possible to do this adventure and Kayaking Puerto Rico 8:00pm tour (Carr. 987, Km 5.4, Las Croabas, Fajardo) in the same day?
Paul M

Possibly, but it would be very tight. You don’t get back to San Juan until about 6 PM. Fajardo is at least another hour drive from there. There are no guarantees with traffic. Our return to San Juan was delayed by about an hour because of traffic on the freeway.

I wore sneakers that had a good sole and was able to tie tight. They have to stay on in the mud. I purchased a pair on the island and just donated them after the adventure.

Hi! Is there a weight limit?
Rossano Boscarino
San Juan, null, Puerto Rico1 contribution
What do you consider overweight?
We want everyone to enjoy an Adventure day so we keep things as flexible as possible concerning the weight issue. A 250-pound person less than six feet tall may be consider overweight according to standard height-weight ratios. However, if that person is regularly active, then he or she could be allowed to participate. By contrast, a person of the exact same height and weight who is laboriously huffing and puffing after the first 15 minutes of a fast steep hike, is obviously NOT in good shape and can not participate. Another thing to consider is the waist and thigh size. These should not exceed 42” waist and 26” thigh.
