The atmosphere is great, you can really feel a different energy vibrating on a special frequency. The people are the best part. They are so special. I felt appreciated and welcomed there.

Very interesting place to visit, youll see how they make a living and you get to hear about the rastafarian ways. Youll get to see how things are made and can purchase things like soaps, jewellery, bowls etc. Very good for families to visit.

Informative
sty 2020
This was a very informative tour about the Rastafarians but we were not told that we had to walk across a river and to take water shoes, then it was all uphill to the village where we were made very welcome. If you have trouble walking like I did and with a stick this is a much trickier tour. We had no help and my husband had to hang on to me cross ing the river and climbing up the steep steps to the village. Dont forget your water shoes though, flip flops are not good but water sandals are.

A must do for anyone staying in Montego Bay. We were at the RIU Montego Bay and the drive to this village was approx 25 min each way. Have a driver or taxi wait the 3/4 hours for you or arrange to have them come back to pick you up as there are no taxis waiting in this area to flag one down.
The tour touches on edible nature, the history of Rastafari, music, food, and crafts. Everyone was super knowledgeable and friendly. This visit was a highlight for my family (2 adults and our 4 year old). Our entry was $40US each, we booked and reserved in advance though email found on their website. The car hire was $100 US though Island Dream Tour.
Make sure to try the hot cocoa, the best I've ever had!
Have fun!

Rastafari forever

This was a very cool and interesting place to visit. It was a great learning experience about the Rastafarian life style and history and culture of Jamaica. Really enjoyed this place. Very laid back and relaxed and peaceful. Everyone was very friendly. Was a great way to spend a couple of hours and not far from montego bay. Only thing i would is that we wished we had known ahead of time that we needed to walk across a river to get there. Would have brought either water shoes or an extra pair of shoes. Would highly recommend a visit to this place.

Awesome experience!!!

The place is absolutely beautiful. This was the best part of our trip. The villagers were so kind and insightful. You have to walk through the Montego River to get there. They offer you very light refreshments while there. I would definitely say pack a lunch or something.Their crafts are beautiful. It's a great experience to have.

If your going to Jamaica then make sure to take a trip to the Rasta Village. It was everything we hoped for and more. We learnt more about Rastafari, saw how true Rasta lived and tasted the best food!

Both fun and educational
sie 2019
I visited this village as part of an excursion from my cruise ship. It was fun, educational, and we got a view into Rastafarian life that we never would have seen otherwise. They took us to a number of "stations" inside the village, including a jewelry maker, a drum maker, a soap maker, and more. One warning, by the way...a handicapped person could not make this trip, as you have to wade across about 30 feet of stream in order to get to the road leading into the village. It isn't deep or hand, but you do have to have some balance, plus not mind getting your feet wet, as it is above the level of your shoes. Overall, this was a fun trip, and I would recommend it to anyone, especially fairly young children, for the cultural experience.

Simply Amazing
cze 2019 • Dla rodziny
This was my absolute favorite part from our trip to Jamaica. The entire experience was eye opening and humbling. They shared their wisdom and love of life and people with us. Everyone we met just had the best energy around them. The soaps, drums, chocolates, and jewelry all hand made and natural, we cannot wait to use everything we purchased. Truly an wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning.
