Water cave is worth exploring
sie 2020
The Cave of Water Curtain is near Taroko Gorge. It is a bit of an adventure getting there, but it is entertaining. Take a flashlight if you can, it can get dark inside.

Take a torch
sie 2020
The Cave of Water Curtain is located near Taroko Gorge. It is quite spectacular and wortth a trip. The rocks are slippery.and you will need to be careful. Visiting the Cave of Water Curtain is best when the river is flowing strongly. By the way, a torch will be useful.

Make sure you bring a raincoat as you will get better wet, I actually borrowed one of someone when I was there. They were very nice

An unique cave of water curtain
wrz 2019 • Znajomi
This is located at almost the end of Baiyang Trail, near the Baiyang Bridge. You need to go through a tunnel, thus you need to bring a flash light to avoid any potential dangers inside the dark tunnel (cell phone light is an option). You then need a raincoat and probably taking off shoes if you wish to enter the cave to personally experience the water curtain. The water is clean and chilly. There is a two feet wide path on the right hand side of the cave to walk into it. It’s about 50 meters os so to reach the other end which is open somewhat to see the light again.
It’s a bonus spot and a fun experience that you should not miss.

Wet and fascinating
cze 2019 • Pary
This is near the final stop on the bus line before it turns back towards Xincheng. It's a leisurely walk to get here with pretty rock formations. You can pick up safety helmets for free at the visitor center. I recommend you bring head lamps as many of the tunnels get quite dark and it leaves your hands free if you slip. You can use your phone light if it can withstand water. You will get wet, but that's part of the charm. Beware there are bats in the tunnel. Not unexpected, but gave one of the hikers a huge scare.

A fun walk with great scenery
mar 2019 • Pary
The trail will take up to a couple of hours if you take it slowly and admire the stunning views along the way. There is a narrow bridge leading to wonderful views of a waterfall and lots of tunnels, some with bats inside. The end point is the cave of the water curtain where you will get pretty wet going through the tunnel. There is not much to see at the end, but taking the whole route it is well worth the effort of the walk. A torch is useful and a waterproof jacket will protect you from the worst of the water, but be prepared for wet feet.

Great Experience.

The Cave of Water Curtain is lots of fun. There are lovely views on the way but the cave itself does not offer views, it is dark and wet but a lot of fun. The water is clean and clear. You will need to take a torch as the tunnels on the way are dark.

At the end of the Baiyang trail ...
gru 2018 • Pary
In the end, I thought it wasn't worth it, but I think the native Taiwanese really get into the concept, People were cheering us on and helping us out. There were raincoats there the day we went from previous people ... for anyone to use. I put one on ... (it was somewhat soggy) and then I ventured into the darkness with my flashlight/torch that my driver had brought with him. The waterfalls inside the cave were not so amazing when we went in December. Mostly, though, it felt just dangerous and annoying. Slippery rocks, huge puddles, hot water dripping from the ceiling, darkness ... maybe I'm just getting to old for such adventures.

Pretty cool
paź 2018
This water cave doesn’t offer magnificent views but is a cool experience m! You see better views on the way to the water cave!
It’s about a 5 minute walk through the cave!
We went on a nice day where there was no rain but it was still very wet! Recommend not wearing any shoes and going barefoot! Everyone did that and so did we and we were happy! You walk on one side in the cave but still there are puddles and a couple points there is heavy rainfall! So a poncho, raincoat etc is a must! Also you don’t need a light but found it waaaaaaay easier with one! We just used our phone lights and kept them under the ponchos!

Going thru this trail is fun and easy but rewarding. All the days we spent hiking was cool. Taipei is really a nice clean place for hikers.
