Majestic while the feel of peace.
lut 2020 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
Majestic, Great architecture and yet the feeling of peace when you tour inside the temple. Went during non peak timing, no rush, slow walk and enjoy the peace while enjoying the intricacies of the architecture and statues.

Majestic and an architectural marvel!
cze 2019
The monastery is huge and impressive. The first floor, the Hall of the Four Heavenly Kings is awesome. The second floor has a red granite sculpture of Buddha. You are allowed to take pictures on the first and second floor (but not on the stairs).

We got to go upstairs on a special tour and it is even better, but no photos allowed upstairs. The best part is the Hall of Ten Thousand Buddha and the Teakwood Pagoda in the middle.

The staff is very nice and helpful. They do ask you keep your volume down since it is a place of worship. Definitely a must see.

Meet your Master
cze 2019 • Dla rodziny
If you visit this place through the zen center, you will have the opportunity to meet the spiritual teacher in your life. A rare religious shrine.Like a rain, like a wind.
Illuminate the sky in your heart.
Just as Gandalf said: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take.

Impressive in Size, But Aesthetically Sterile
kwi 2019 • Pary
Located on the outskirts of Puli, this massive contemporary edifice (43 stories)) seems to soar into the sky. it was designed by C.Y. Lee, the architect of Taipei 101, and is in the shape of a Buddhist cultivator in the lotus position. Featuring large entrance doors with giant guardians that lead into massive halls, the interior of the temple was for me aesthetically sterile, and left me cold. My spouse and I found it impressive only in size.

If you are into gigantic statues, this is the place for you.

Excellenr place to go...but...
maj 2019 • Dla rodziny
Marvelous place to visit. But the restrictions they impose like dont talk (thought the signboards say "talk softly"), dont tip-tap walk, dont sit and meditate ..curtails your freedom to walk around and enjoy. Ah, you can make photos and people make imitating pose like the statues there and capture photos. Rather 'fun" in a monastery. While the visitors were all warned again and again to be silent, the lady monks outside the main hall were making merry loudly …...

Majestic Monastery
lis 2018 • Pary
To say the least, this place is majestic and I think I had seen one of the largest statues of the heavenly kings. The environment is quiet and tranquil, but photography is possible, just do not cross lines and do not take photos on the staircase (safety reasons).

This is worth a visit and maybe you can pop by at the museum beside this too if there is some exhibits you are interested in.

An interesting visit

An interesting place to wander around and see a very successful Buddhist congregation. Lots of statues and and amazing doors. There is an onside museum, restaurant and pond.

Astonishing, but visit on a weekday
maj 2018 • Znajomi
Such is the splendor of this monastery that they would not be exaggerating to call it one of the 7 Wonders of Taiwan. If you are even remotely interested in Buddhism, this is a must visit. The volunteers are wonderful and the grounds are filled with astonishing statues and so forth.

Do try to visit on a weekday to avoid the crowds.

Ugly and crowded
kwi 2018 • Pary
Don't bother with this monastery, it's full of gawping crowds being ushered around like so many sheep. Go to the two museums, one adjoining the monastery, the other half a mile down the road. Both are Superb, world-class. A huge range or wonderful objects are splendidly displayed in lovely, large, empty galleries.
