Another "hidden gem" on our ongoing travels in China
sty 2020
Quite a nice little walk (couldn't call it a hike) in some impressive geological features.
It was apparently part of the shooting location for one of the transformers movies. There are large apparitions in a variety of locations.
We visited this area in winter and had to abandon our trip to Fairy Mountain, which is close by. It was totally covered in heavy fog/cloud, so we got off the bus early and returned to Wulong township.

The Most Beautiful Karst Landscape in Chongqing
sie 2019 • Znajomi
On the way from Chongqing to Wulong, Wujiang Gallery was a hidden niche we found. The Yangtze River meanders, and from time to time some cargo ships pass by on the river. The mountains along the river are green. Looking at the boats in the river, I now become an ancient poet, reciting poems and composing poems. This place is the only way for Chongqing city to go to Wulong. It has different tastes in sunny days and cloudy days. When it is sunny, the clear water is faint. The water is really green and gratifying. There is a hazy beauty when it rains. It is also good to take a long ride to breathe the fresh air of Wujiang River. Fortunately, I can still see the fog on the river, the vast expanse of whiteness, and the fairyland has not run away ~

Breathtaking beauty
maj 2019 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
As suggested by a tour guide, I joined a bus load of Chinese tourists going through unending mountain tunnels to Wulong National Park. I thought all along that no other place could equal the Zhangjiajie wonderland, but how wrong I was! Wrong too was the fact that I was totally unprepared for such an arduous climb, even for more vigorous souls. Please be aware that park entrance at certain sections are free of charges for seniors of 65 years or older. But as a reward, my eyes were incessantly called to the most amazing and unimaginable sights. See my testimony, attached.

A must visit world class attraction !
mar 2019 • Pary
This UNESCO world heritage site famous for its karst landform with several major attractions within the 9 sq kilometers of park. It includes three natural bridges, the gorge valley, the Tianmen Cave Bridge, Furong caves, 45 degree Pingange Cableway, and Fairy Mt with the Mist Pavilion. You need more than one day to cover several main attractions, and even more for the entire park.
This amazing and picturesque creation of mother nature easily rivals any of the natural world wonders. In areas without people you are rewarded with the tranquility of nature, and wonderful rich oxygen – often lost within the large cities of China.
The mighty Yangtze River has spent thousands of years cutting through the mountains and creating this magnificent long narrow gorge with steep walls, limestone formations, caves, and underground rivers. It has only been opened to the public since 2014. The gorge walkway, 1500 meters in length, hangs from the 500 meter cliff walls about 100 meters of the canyon floor. In some areas the gorge narrows to only several metres wide.
A must visit “world class” attraction.

A must visit, What a beautiful scenery
gru 2018 • Znajomi
We went to the Wulong Karst on December 30, 2018 which we have some snow along way giving us a cool white scenery. The Tea House was cover in white snow. It was really amazing view and able to walk around this area. A must visit. If you are traveling from Chongqing city for a day trip using public transportation, make sure that you have enough time to come down from the mountain (festive season might be a bit of queuing and traffic on the roads). Even it is a low season yet Local still travel to experience this natural park. We did not make it back on time to get the last bus to Chongqing City as we are doing a trip. But able to get some local around the station to take us to the other bus (not scheduled one) with additional fee. But we arrived safely in Chongqing on the same day. There is still a lot more to see in this area if you want to experience all i suggest to stay overnight or two to get around. I would do that on my next visit.

Oh yeah!

Filled a day in between business meetings and can strongly recommend this as a full day experience. Difficult couple of hours getting to and from the geo-park but the park itself makes it all worth while. I won't bore you with endless platitudes but I can say it was as good as any of the other parks I have visited over the twenty years I've lived and worked in China. Beware though that this is not for the infirm, there are plenty of steps, even by Chinese standards, mostly downhill which is in itself arduous if you are not used to it. Now that I've recovered Im in awe of what I saw.

Nice walk, terrific karst formations
gru 2018
When we arrived ti Wulong city by train, we right away get to know with some guy who offered us to guide to ticket place and then to the mountains. As it was extremely cold, we accepted his offer. (but I think you can take taxi or bus). Rhe ride up took us around 40min. The guy helped us to buy tickets and everything... I am not sure how could we do this without him, probably it would take much more time... then he drove us to the entrance and waited us in the exit. Again, I am not sure how you het from ticket place to entrance to the park if you dont have a car or driver... I saw there many big busses, and shuttles, I believe they drive to the park, but everything seemed so empty, that I dont know if something was working. I believe in summer it's more convenient. But going there in december gives you almost zero chinese tourists. Or any tourists at all. Park was great, beautiful and worth the visit. Deffinately go there if you happen to be in Chongqing!

This is not a widely known National Park for foreign tourists, but if you get the chance to visit, do not knock it back.

Yes, there are lots and lots of stairs after a lift down part of the way but, the views of the formations going down and walking along the valley floor took you mind off and aches and pains.

Many years ago, this was an active lime stone cave and the old lime stone formations that you can see are HUGE. We were lucky when we visited because it had rained two days before our visit, so we had waterfalls coming out of cracks half way upon the sheer cliff faces.

Gorgeous view!
lis 2017 • Znajomi
Went there with my colleagues as part of a team building trip. It was a real pity I forgot all my geography - The rock formations were simply fantastic but I couldn't name them.
The air was fresh and crisp. There was not much people in late autumn/winter as it was the off-peak season - the view would be much better in summer.

Highly recommended for anyone going to Chongqing. Bring along a jacket as it could be slightly chilly.

Some amazing place!

This is one of the main tourist spots in China… Lots of people come from all over China. It's large and it's really worth the full day trip from Chongquin. Be prepared to walk down and up over thousands of steps! Really exciting transparent glass platform as well. It's a good big day to go all over.
