A often overlooked gem
kwi 2021
This is one of the hidden treasures of Tokyo. Nice, quiet place for a visit and it has a rich history as one of the oldest parks in the city.

Beautiful during Sakura season
kwi 2019 • Znajomi
We happened upon this park during some kind of local festival. There were TONS Of people participating in "hanami", picnic under the sakura trees. There were booths set up and the sound of beating drums. It was really neat. There's a little carriage lift that takes you up and down, that was cute, though we didn't participate.
We had stopped at a store and participated in the picnic festivities while we were here and checked out the gorgeous area. There was a really big, fun looking playground for the kiddos.

Large Park In Older Tokyo
maj 2019 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
This was a large family park in Oji-ekimae adjacent to the Oji railways station. There was essentially no English signage in the park and no Gaijin's excepty one. It has a large kids playground and an old tram and steam locomotive. Scattered throughout the park are various memorials all unreadable but obviously of some significance. Oji was a stop-over point on the Toden Arakawa line , the last remaining light rail or tram in Tokyo.

Something for every one
kwi 2019 • Dla rodziny
Superb park featuring fantastic sakura viewing. combined with colour-rich pansies, tulips and others. Multiple playgrounds for the kids, including a real steam loco and an old street car both accessible for the enjoyment of all. There is a cablecar to reach the park but always long queues ..... Bright sunset piercing through the blooming sakura turns the park into a photographer paradise. Great park to let the kids loose until they give up. Bring your food and drinks, a few minutes away from the Oji train station.

Beside sakura and museum, also great for railway fan!
kwi 2019 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
Besides sakura, Paper Museum, Shibusawa Memorial Museum, Kita City Asukayama Museum, there are tram 6080 and D51 stream locomotive displayed in the park.

The park is on a hill, far above the train, great to enjoy all the trains and Shinkansen to pass by, there is a bridge right above the JR railways, which connect the park and JR South Exit, great location for train-watching.

This park is gorgeous with all the cherry blossoms in bloom. It is full of people doing Hanami. The photos I took here were gorgeous. It’s a perfect place to relax in the afternoon.

Sakura Viewing
kwi 2017 • Znajomi
Night viewing of Cherry blossoms indeed different. Beautiful. My friend brought me to this area which was about 15mins away from where she stayed. There was a big crowd of people gathering and drinking. It really let me know some culture of Japanese.

Famous cherry blossoms spot in the Edo period
kwi 2017 • Pary
This place was famous as a cherry blossom viewer in the Edo period and a politician had his house and garden there. However now it is a park for public. When spring comes, many cherry blossoms bloom, which makes the scenery very beautiful. A lot of residents and tourists visit the park at weekends in Spring and people have Sakura parties. They enjoyed picnic everywhere in the park, so it was very crowded.

A beautiful and quiet park away from the major tourist spots
mar 2017 • Pary
I was able to visit this park simply because it's near to where i stay. This is a very simple park but it was landscaped to nicely to provide you excellent viewing pleasure of the sakura trees. i was there on 30th March, so sakura trees only started to bloom and was not able to fully enjoy it. However, the ones that bloomed are stunning to look at. If you're near Oji station, so give it a visit. If the sakura fully bloomed when i was there, i would give it a much higher score.

Cherry Blossom (Sakura) Viewing
maj 2015 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
During Sakura season this place is busy but more walkable than places like Chidorigafuchi. There are some museums adjacent to the park. The Paper Museum has interesting temporary exhibits on paper folding (origami) and the museum itself is fitting given the area's importance to the paper industry.
