Make it less expensive, less crowded and less queueing. Had to dump our food as not allowed to bring it in, then charged €4 for a lounger. Food and drinks v expensive and low quality. €8 for a locker lock. Then for final insult charges to get out of car park. Spent a lot of cash to stand in lines, queueing for slides, disgusted, will not be returning to this rip off park.

🙂 Reading all the negative we almost did not go, I was glad we did. There are so many different rides, for all ages, that you would not get bored. All staff are very friendly and helpful, facilities are well kept and safety rules followed.
🙁 Queues were quite long (but then it was August!). We paid a bit extra for a fast pass which is highly recommended.

This is the best water park I have ever been to. The slides aren’t too scary and extremely fun!!! Especially the ones where you need an inflatable ring or a double. The park is massive.
However it does get extremely busy during the summer, I had to wait for a slide for 2 hours. But they do do fast track if you fancy it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Wave Island. The park was clean and the staff was friendly. We arrived at around 11:30 and had a very short wait for tickets and a locker. It’s quite a big park with big slides, a lazy river and a smaller slide area that our 10 year old loved. Lunch was nice and reasonable too. I’m not sure why there were so many negative previous reviews. It was crowded, but in our experience on 100 degree days all water parks draw a crowd. The lines moved well and we stayed until late in the day, enjoying the cool water and fun slides.

Far too expensive and greedy formula. You have to pay for everything!!! It starts when you’re in (after losing 100 EUR at the checkin) that you have a “free” locker… which is not the case since you have to bring your own lock. If you don’t have one you can buy one there (stand a quarter in the line) and buy one for 8 EUR and for the key you need a bracelet (1 EUR) … ok… we’re in, time for a snack we brought in. Within a couple of seconds the security is there to warn you that you are not allowed to eat your own brought food…. You have to buy unhealthy snacks for your kids and family… if you don’t want to pay for a sunbed… sorry no shadow place for you…. There is also no maximum number of visitors… so waiting lines are terribly long… we’ll you can spend another 19 EUR for a VIP line bracelet…. And hygiene…. Ow horrifying…. Dressing rooms and toilets…. Shivering….
And than the other visitors …. I’ve seen parents smoking weed (which is illegal in France at all) and making sexual escapades towards each other …. (Kissing and further… don’t want to get into details, else this review will not be published) and than suddenly no security at all… my daughter (who’s quite young) did not see that all…. She had the day of her life….. but for me. … After an hour I could not take it anymore and left the park (leaving my wife and daughter there) for a refreshing lunch in the beautiful city center of Avignon. The employee at the exit asked me “do you plan to comeback later on?” Answer was so simple “No never ever!”
If you love your family (and your wallet) never ever go there.

The lockers are advertised as free, but you have to have your own padlock with you, or buy one at their prices!

Overall we had an enjoyable day and as previous reviews have said, the park is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I would however also agree with some other previous reviews which note that there aren’t all that many slides for what is described as France’s largest water park. The main down side however is that it costs an absolute fortune for what you get. We were prepared to fork out as a once off holiday treat but basic entry for a family of 4 was €119 and it was an additional €16 per person for rapid passes. On entry they describe the lockers as being “free” but they are only free if you know in advance and bring your own padlock, otherwise it’s €6 for every padlock you want to buy. There is nowhere to sit in the shade unless you pay for a lounger €4.00 each or even extra for a shaded cabin which I think you needed to pre-book. Food is not cheap either and you are not allowed to bring your own in. We didn’t have any issues with queueing for food but having read previous reviews we had elected not to have a proper meal there and just got some crepes/waffles and ate properly after we left. The fast passes were useful for some of the rides and less useful for others and that really depended on how well an individual staff member managed the queue.
Our kids (15 and 12y) had a really enjoyable day and there is certainly plenty to cater for all ages but expect to pay a LOT for what you get.

Today we visited Wave Island as a family of four. We had a largely enjoyable day, however as other reviews have stated there isn’t many rides to actually go on. It is obviously expected for there to be ques to go on the rides but at times I took note that there were ques even for fast track which was an additional £20. Furthermore, you are not allowed to bring your own food into the park meaning we had to purchase food when we were there. The food was exasperatingly slow (half an hour for 4 pre packaged sandwiches and a couple of portions of chips) and extremely overpriced! My tuna salad sandwich could be described as more of a mayonnaise sandwich which was quite frankly rank. As a positive, the whole water park was clean and the few rides that we went on were fun but we won’t be revisiting Wave Island any time soon.

I would advise anyone to ONLY pay for a sunset ticket. However, the price for children and adults are the same, which is strange, as children below a certain height/weight can't even go on all the rides.
3 hours was PLENTY of time to go on everything, and paying full price at €30 each would NOT have been worth the money.

What’s is the best travel option from London to Avignon. Eurostar looks convenient but a return trip is £300 on average. I’ve heard flights are much cheaper but you have to go from either Bristol or Southampton as no London airport flies to Avignon.
Any help gratefully appreciated

Bonjour,

Cordialement

Can anyone tell me if 'swim shorts' for men (which are meant to be allowed) are actually the swim short type we have in the UK, and not 'speedo' type trunks? We've fallen foul of this rule in French waterparks on the past.
