This is such a breathtaking sight.... it’s so peaceful and stunning.... take a packed lunch and just soak up the ambience of such beauty of the bridge and surrounding scenery... we love driving past in the evening where it’s all ..... wow ..... with the lights on highlighting the bridge and the trees. Such beauty on our doorstep.

The Prefabricated Cast Iron Bridge of the River Spey
paź 2019
This bridge was erected in 1812 - 1814 as one of the first cast iron arch bridges developed for deep water crossings due to impracticably of stone bridges. The ironwork of the bridge were cast and transported from Denbighshire. The bridge has a stunning setting and is a small diversion from the main road. Take the time to bring a meal and let time go by at this extraordinary setting.

We used this to walk from the Craigellachie Hotel to Macallan Distillery and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful December morning views!

Wonderful place, amazing view, phenomenal energy and all for free !!

A little hidden in the middle of the trees and among the renovation of the newer bridge, if you do not pay attention, you will probably not see this place. I was around 10 am on a sunny but very cold day and the scenery was stunning. Oh, and the entrance is free, but you can contribute a donation to the institution that preserves the bridge.

Craigellachie - Telford Bridge.

Don`t miss this on the passing.
Telford Bridge across the road from Craigellachie. Free parking & access to the river Spey. Beautiful location .....a must do `photo shoot`. Great history.
If you have a visit/picnic there....please take your litter home with you & don`t spoil it for others.

Telford Triumph over the River Spey

Stunning engineering - a cast iron arch bridge; and extraordinary to think that the ironwork was cast and transported from Denbighshire. The bridge has a stunning setting and is a small diversion from Craigellachie or the main road. Charming to explore.

Stunning Bridge!
paź 2018 • Wyjazd w pojedynkę
The Craigellachie Bridge is another stunning Thomas Telford Bridge built 1814. It is now a foot bridge and is situated on the Spey River near Aberlour. Beautiful scenery surrounds the bridge, with several Speyside Whisky distilleries in the area.

Very Picturesque and Access to the River
wrz 2018 • Pary
You'll see the bridge right off the main road between Aberlour and Grantown on Spey. It's a picturesque bridge with a tower on the far end. You can climb a slight grade to cross the bridge. Or descend a slight grade to walk to the river's edge. The locals say it's the perfect place to skip rocks across the water. There isn't a lot of parking.
