My husband and I and our 15 year old grandson were on a road trip and stopped after a long day of driving. Our grandson enjoyed the water slide. Our beds were comfortable and the room was very nice and had the usual min fridge and coffeemaker. I would have given it the very best rating except for 3 things - there was a shirt and tie on the desk chair when we checked in left behind by someone else ( the chair was pushed in so not easily noticeable perhaps), the room temperature for sleeping was unmanageable for comfort - could not get it cooler and was up twice as a result trying to figure out how to change the temp. When I mentioned it the next morning while checking out, I was told not all the rooms were ready for the air conditioning, or something to that effect. Apparently something needs to be changed as the seasonal switch from heating to cooling happens. That did not make me happyas the room cost is well over $100 and sleeping well is what we paid for. The 3rd reason I did not give it the best rating is because the previous week we had stayed at a Select Inn which is part of the same parent company as the Comfort Suites. A large placard at that hotel promoted 2 stays within the May- June dates we were traveling would earn us a $50 gift card. The clerk at the Quality Inn told us by just having our membership number used when we stayed would have us qualified. When we saw the Comfort Suites and knew it was the same parent company for the promotion, we thought that was a good reason to stay. Upon registration, we were told we were not eligible for the gift card since this stay was to have been booked online to qualify. This was disappointing and perhaps not Comfort Suites fault, but must have been cleverly hidden rules in the small print of the placard at the first hotel stay. We would stay again, mostly because of the comfort of the beds and the cleanliness of our room. There was the usual continental breakfast with some hot food choices as well.
