We stayed here for two nights in June.
The welcome was warm and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
The busy bar was crowded, full of atmosphere, jam packed with character (and characters!) and served a wide selection of great real ales (by efficient, friendly and hard working bar staff)
Breakfast included a good variety of options (including fantastic kippers) and the room we stayed in was quiet considering the volume of people at the bar, eating in the restaurant or out in the beer garden during our stay.
The menu in the restaurant offered a good variety of options, with a good selection of local fayre (we had the shared seafood platter which was excellent) and they seemed to cope with the volume of people requesting tables/food very well..
We really enjoyed our stay and the only slight downsides were a small, slightly uncomfortable bed that squeaked every time you moved on it!
The location is perfect for exploring Seahouses or jumping on one of the many boat trips to the Farne Islands in the harbour (which is only 100 yards away)
