Really good burger for supper. Best in the area. I inquired about something else but she did not know anything about it. I find the restaurant staff funny or slow. Careful when here. She acted like order and be done with it. Had a problem with breakfast staff a year agoMore

Clean and friendly, in an ideal location. Only issues we experienced was not receiving our HH rewards (shouldn't that be automatic??), and the television remote didn't work (and was never replaced, despite complaining).

Was in the area for a social event and selected the HGI.
Standard HGI amenities. Property was clean and wel kept and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good. top notch omelettes.
Was a bit apprehensive as there were a bunch of kids on a hockey tournament running around the hotel. In September! They gave us a room at the end of the hall on the top floor so it turned out to be more quiet than expected - fortunately.
Would stay here again.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Please front desk staff. Warm and inviting lounge in the lobby with bar and fireplace to relax in before heading upstairs. Very comfortable and very clean rooms. King size bed amazing, even the pillows. Check in was quick and efficient. I wasn't able to stay for breakfast as I had to check out early for business, but I'm sure it would have been good as well. No complaints. Would choose to stay here again in a heartbeat.

Check in is 3:00 pm. We arrived at 2:00 pm. Our 2 rooms were not ready. We were told our rooms would be ready in a hour. We sat in the front lobby for an hour because the lounge did not open until 5:00 pm. After sitting for that hour, I went to the front desk and asked the same lady if our rooms were ready, she turned her back to me , ignored my questions, left me standing there, they continued to check in guests while I was standing there, then finally one of the guys asked me if they could help me, they were standing there when I asked the lady if my rooms were ready. Anyways I asked if my rooms were ready, he turned his back, walked out some back door of the office and disappeared. Left me standing there again. After 10 minutes of standing I finally asked where he went and if my rooms were ready. He finally arrived back and said my rooms would be ready in a hour. So no one advised housekeeping we were there waiting for our rooms. We were told that housekeeping was working on it ( that was an hour ago and I still had another hour to wait ?? What ?? I had to leave this hotel, get on my cell phone, and try and find another hotel on a Saturday night at 3;00 pm, and it cost me twice as much money . I would never recommend this place. Rude Staff. I read reviews on this hotel after my return and there were several complaints about their staff.

In my humble opinion the two most important criteria for any hotel is cleanliness and service. This hotel has both - and that's just the beginning. The nature of my stay unfortunately was for a family funeral and we were a party of 8. Each and every one of us has the same opinion - this hotel is great! We had a couple of special requests which were attended immediately - the food at the restaurant was excellent - the location very easily accessible - etc. etc. Nothing but good things to say - since it's a hop and skip away from Toronto - I will be staying there in the very near future for business as well as using this hotel for quick weekend getaways. I highly recommend this hotel.
