I admit the hotel was ,much better than expected. Staff was very kind and helpful. The location is perfect in historic Olbia (the rest of the city seems pretty boring and industrial). Ample rooms (for Italy), wifi, a/c.

We spent one night here to savour the towns delights and booked this place purely because of its boutique style and decor. It's been beautifully refurbished, lots of stone work, stone floors everywhere and perfectly located in the back streets off the main urban street. Our room was on the first floor and if we closed the double glazed window, could not hear the traffic passing below, so no issues with noise for us. Some people don't take into consideration it's located in the middle of a small city, it's gonna have some noise! Our room was everything we hoped it would be, the pictures don't lie! Breakfast is served down in the cellar and wow what a secret they have there! It's stunning, even has a glass floor and stairs down to an ancient roman aqueduct ruin that's part of the property! There are also apartments across the street owned by the hotel, and if we had known, we might have booked one instead, there's always next time... Last but not least, the staff, very polite, and attentive, especially the lady on reception, who couldn't do enough for us and all our tedious touristy questions! Thank you and hope to return one day.

La Locanda del Conte Mameli is a real find, small boutique style hotel with very clean and personal atmosphere. A special recommendation for the reception staff, who can not do enough to make your stay complete and make you feel at home. Ask for restaurant recommendations, they don't get it wrong. The location is perfect for the Costa Smarelda if you have a car, and La Madalena is a must via ferry, a perfect day trip. An absolutely superb hotel in great central location and most of all great staff. Keep up the great work! We also stayed at the villa which was equally as good and brand new, rooms were immaculate. I travel a lot with work and stay in luxury hotels, this compared to any I have stayed in. Highly recommended from London, England.

Room tip: First floor rooms in the hotel are quiet.

Allow me to begin by saying that I signed up to TripAdvisor just so I could comment on this hotel. Absolutely fantastic accommodation. The staff are unbelievably helpful and lovely. The rooms are top notch, quiet but effective aircon, amazing bathrooms, super clean. I wish I could have stayed longer. The location is perfect. Only negative was poor wifi - there is no wifi in your room and the "lobby" wifi was intermittent at best. Only relevant because I was traveling for work reasons.
Stay here, you will not be disappointed. Excellent value.

Room tip: Rooms on the ground floor are subject to a small amount of road noise, but traffic is minimal and double glass is used effectively.

This hotel has a boutique, personal atmosphere. It is tastefully decorated, but still functional. We really liked the big bathroom and appreciated the room's lighting (something which many hotels get wrong when they focus too much on mood and not enough on practicality). The location is very convenient and close to everything. The staff are all very nice and helpful and gave us good advice on where to eat. And finally, the breakfast is FANTASTIC.
