Awesome place, had a private entrance off the street. An apartment indeed, came with a separate kitchen/dining with a stovetop/oven, no microwave, fridge and a laundry washer, no dryer. Bedroom was big with a couch that could be used for an extra guest. Comes with a very large closet and a safe. Bathroom was a bit small, but very nice. At first, arriving at night, it was a bit difficult to find the hotel. You get off at the San Zaccaria boat stop, turn left, go over the first bridge, turn right at what you would now think of as an alley, but you will see a bunch of columns on the front of the Palazzo Ducale, the alley is basically between the first column and the building to the right. Walk down until you see the first street to the left, there will also be a Ca D'ei Dogi sign before you turn left and you open into a little courtyard, the entrance is to the right. The staff are excellent, they will answer any question that you have, even guided me to a grocery store. Breakfast was excellent, felt like the food kept coming, croissants, fruits, yogurts, juice, coffee, omlettes, sooo good that when we got home mu husband was still talking about it. The hotel/apartment was a 3 minute walk to the St. Marks Square and a 2 minute walk to the water. Super quiet with the windows closed and had awesome AC. Great value for the money and I will definitely be back.
