Stayed for 2 nights while attending a conference held in the hotel. The overall stay including the bedroom, conference room and restaurant was pleasant and hassle free, the hotel staff had everything organised well so all the delegates had to do were to focus on the conference. The bar became very rowdy late in the evening, but that was the only downside.

Very good new hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms comfortable. Overall a very nice hotel which is good value for money. Would stay here again. While it is a bit away from the train station/old town buses 154, 155 and SB15 all pass by about 2 minutes from the hotel. Also a taxi from the main train station or Fritzpatrick’s Irish bar (where we also got a taxi from) is cheap at less than €8-9. It is very much a large business hotel which is good if that is what you are after but also lacks some intimacy or atmosphere which you sometimes find in other hotels.

We stayed for 3 days for a work related trip. Clean and new hotel with friendly and helpful staff with good English. Included breakfast was good. Would return in future.

Location was also quite central. 5 minute taxi ride from the main train station. Too far to walk if have check in luggage.

It was a good hotel felt like a four star hotel with big lobby, good breakfast, friendly staff and clean rooms. It was 10 minutes far by car from the Essen Fair and 10 minutes far by car from main train station and even you can go by bus to train station. I really recommend this hotel for however visits the place. McDonalds is 15 minutes walk.

Selected this hotel for a trade show (6 nights) when accommodation can be at a premium. I read Tripadvisor reviews and hoped I had not made a mistake. My colleague and I were very pleasantly surprised. (The hotel we had stayed in for many years previously had been sold and had more than doubled its prices.) The hotel itself is a newly converted part of a huge office building so it lacks cosy charm... However, it is very clean, safe, comfortable, quiet and operated with typical Germanic efficiency and friendly staff. Free wi-fi. Accessing the Messe was not difficult and took about 20 to 30 minutes door to door - bus stop right outside the hotel, frequent service, 3 stops to Essen Hbf, then take U-Bahn to Messe. Hotel has arranged discounted taxi fare to Essen Hbf. Restaurant food good, although menu doesn't change. No restaurant service on Sunday evening and no other restaurants nearby, therefore if you don't want to eat in the hotel, pick a restaurant in the city centre. Bar area rather conference hall like. Have suggested it to our trade association for a group booking. Excellent for business trip.
