We had a great weekend glamping amongst the apple trees. The weather was great and the tents were well equipped. We stayed in the yurt which was really cosy at night. We booked the whole site for our baby group ten year celebration. Kerry was on hand and always smiling. So glad we discovered this hidden gem as we were able to unload our kids, clothes and food, then sit back and enjoy a few beers. Camping but without the stress.

Just back from Apple Wood. Had a fab time - Kerri was very helpful & on hand should you need anything. The accommadation was very clean and tidy and had everything you needed from beds, duvets, sleeping bags, plates, cutlery, glasses - you just need to turn up! We cooked on the BBQ (one outside each bell tent/yurt) and the stove inside but also used the stove to keep warm. Although the bedding is supplied and suffient - if like me you have children with you I would take extra blankets we had great warm weather but the nights can still be chilly ;-) The toilets and showers were clean and had a mirror, plug socket/shaver socket, handy for hair dyers etc. We had a fabulous week at Apple Wood and lovely evenings around the camp fire. Would definately recommend a stay here - we look forward to staying at Apple Wood again soon!!

Stayed in September near the end of the season. We were so looking forward to staying here after seeing the other reviews and watching four in a bed series. Location was excellent , double bed was very comfortable but if we hadn't brought our own duvet we would have frozen.
I would expect glam ping to have all theluxury of a good B&B if not hotel.. only in a tent / urt. Minimum would expect would be electricity sockets in the tent. Showers were in a portaloo type shed.. but were hot and quite powerful. Lacked electrical sockets to charge phone etc. Such a shame. Host was very friendly but unfortunately the facilities and whole experience did not live up to expectation. Would not recommend to a friend and would rather the extra hassle of putting up my own tent for a fraction of the price.

We went to Applewood at the start of the summer holiday to celebrate the schools breaking up and our daughter leaving school. We had a great time the first night and loved the tent it was so good to get away and just enjoy some time together the farm was lovely and the children loved the horses.
However my advice would be if you are a family with children check there is not a hen do on the weekend you go as the second night was awful my children were frightened had no sleep and had to listen to dreadful language there was no respect for other campers and as a result we left the next morning.Kerri I have to say was ill equipped to deal with what was happening and had no control over the situation. We have since received an apology and some money back.

We stayed here with our two boys lots of things to do and see in the local area! Tents were clean and the log burner was great! Nice to have your own space and build your own campfire!
The only thing that let this place down was the showers! They were very very tiny and the water ran hot and cold plus there was only two of them! Such a shame they didn't build something more permanent and bigger like in a proper campsite rather than a portacablin for a shower! More camping than glamping!
