We stayed here for a few nights in April and had a good time. The day we arrived was the same day that new owners had taken over the hotel, so there was a bit of commotion, but nothing too bad. The room was comfortable enough, and the cooked breakfasts were very good, with local produce used. It was very quiet at night, with only the sound of the waves lapping at the shore when the window was open. The beach is only a stone's throw away, and St Ives itself is only ten minutes walk away.

We stayed here for 1 night, Excellent value for money, we didn't have a "room with a view" but then we never asked fort 1, We only slept in it. Rooms fully equipped, clean and a comfy bed, Plenty of tea/coffee, radio, hairdryer and plenty of towels ,Very quiet at night. No banging doors etc, a short flat walk to the town and literally 1 minute from the beach.
Recently taken over by Natasha and her partner whose name I cannot spell as it is Maori name, a lovely friendly couple that we spent a few hrs with in the bar in the evening, Followed by a lovely breakfast the next day, plenty to choose from and a continental style as well as cooked food, all food arrived hot and tasty, locally sourced products, very friendly waiting staff. We enjoyed are stay very much and have nothing negative to say, we even parked a foot away from the entrance. We have stayed in St.Ives many times and this was probably the best hotel for position and a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Room tip: Ask for sea view if you intend spending a long time in your room.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is perfectly situated right near Porthminster Beach and only a short walk into St Ives. It is near the small train station as well, which has the best coastal views that I have ever seen from a train.
The hotel itself is modern and clean and the staff are friendly and very helpful. I would recommend it and would certainly return there myself.

The Primrose Valley hotel is brilliant. We arrived and Jake was the most amazing host. I had taken my sister away for her birthday and booked a twin room. When we arrived Jake checked our room and unfortunately this was made up as a double, he rectified this and as soon as possible. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel uses local produce and the breakfast was great. Thank you Jake for making our stay at Primrose Valley Hotel extra special.
