Me and my two other friends planning to visit Newquay for two days, so we need to find out a hotel where we can stay and we also looking something very close to beach and reasonable price! there for we found this hotel which very unique and deseent price range with bad and breakfast. Hotel was almost empty when we was stated! that because we went midweek and it's spring time! Service was excellent, room was tidy and clean with tea/coffee facility. Fully air conditioning with TV freeviews. From our room you can see fistral beach and golf course, beach is only about two minutes walk from hotel. Main town is about 10 minutes walk. Breakfast time is 8:00- 10:00 am and they got range of continental foods, with choices from the menu, also you can have range of fruit, serial, tea coffee, juice, yogurt, jam and jelly. Staff was very friendly and helpful like other Newquay people. Overall I have to say our stay was worth and mission accomplished! I would say highly recommend, and if I go again I definitely try to stay this hotel.

Been a few times now for Sunday Roast at the Carnmarth. Not the cheapest in the world, but probably one of the best. It is a plated roast, not a carvery. Delicious vegetables, well cooked meat, and the most amazing gravy. Partner also had cauliflower cheese and said it was yummy. Not sure you would fine better in the Newquay area.

Looked for a last minute break - only room available was the Suite with balcony - L
lovely room - with an excellent view over Fistral Beach and the golf course. We stayed an extra night as the weather improved and having the balcony to sit an relax on whilst my other half was surfing was a bonus.

Location was perfect for Fistral and only a short stroll into the town.

The room was great with a large comfy bed, modern clean bathroom with large shower. There was a hair dryer that was actually powerful enough to dry hair! Tea & coffee in the room with mini fridge - handy to chill the bubbly! In addition their was the seating area and the balcony with table and chairs and 2 loungers (a couple of cushions for the loungers, stored in the the wardrobe might have been a nice touch). There was a little bit of noise in the corridors, our room first along the landing so everyone had to walk past, but the hotel have put signs up asking guests to be considerate.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble.

The food was very good, we had breakfast included - a good selection of breakfasts to choose from. We booked for an evening meal in the hotel restaurant, which featured locally sourced foods, good food reasonable prices and again great service.

I would happily recommend this hotel and will definitely return myself.

Room tip: Room 11 was the Suite with balcony - I felt it was worth the money :)

We stayed on a groupon for 2 nights but were lucky to upgrade to the sea view turret room. What a fabulous view and definitely recommended if you get the chance. The room was clean, well appointed (even an iron and ironing board), warm and so relaxing just to watch the surfers on Fistral beach and the golfers, seagulls and rabbits on the local golf course. Made us sleepy just watching all the action especially with the sun streaming in for most of the day !

The hotel itself is equally close to the beach and the town centre so you can walk everywhere. That was a bonus in itself to leave the car alone. And there are plenty of restaurants and cafes within easy reach if you desired and lovely long walks all available from the doorstep.

The staff were so helpful, very friendly and willing to chat as were the locals.

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the freshly cooked cornish breakfast; so much so that you didn't need to have lunch.

Minor critiscisms... the mattress was a bit thin and we could have done with more complimentary shower products.

Tip: We were given a parking permit (£10) for the nearby council car park but found a space in the small hotel car park so we didn't need it. If you don't intend to move the car during your stay then don't bother with the permit and save some money.

Overall a very worthwhile, peaceful, enjoyable break and value for money. Highly recommended...

Room tip: ask for room 14 (sea view turret room), or any with balconies on the sea view side
