After a sub-par night spent at another hotel, we called Summit to see if we could check in early as we had a room booked for the evening and were stuck in limbo with a ton of luggage and nowhere to put it before our check in. They happily accommodated us with a comfy warm room to hangout in until our room was ready to head up to. When we arrived at our room, they had left us a personalized heartwarming card and two bottles of wine to drown the memories of our other stay with, not to mention the room was lovely! Staff is warm and inviting and incredibly easy to deal with and both of the managers are wonderful people. They went more than above and beyond for all of us, and I have never received such incredible service from a hotel. They have earned themselves a loyal customer. Would recommend to anyone! THANK YOU SUMMIT TEAM!

This was our first visit to Summit Lodge. It was #5 on Trip Advisor which was thought was pretty high so that was how we made our selection. The room with kitchenette was quite nice with a fireplace. We enjoyed that very much as it was a cold few days. The main issue we had was with the cleanliness of the bathroom. The walls needed a good scrub, the shower curtain was dirty and the outside of the toilet bowl needed a good clean as well.
The lobby was welcoming but there was a strange aromatherapy odor that I did not enjoy. The hot tub and pool area are very small and with all the trees, the deck is quite messy with pine needles. When raining there is not a dry place to put your towel.
The location is quite good though and we enjoyed being close to many restaurants and coffee shops. The room also offers an iPad to use but we didn't take advantage of it as we had our own devices along.
Not sure we'll be back as there are many more choices for the future.

Dear RachelDBCCanada,

I thank you for your time in providing us with your feedback on your stay at our hotel.

I am deeply sorry that you had problems with your room, had we known our front desk team with have gladly gone to great lengths to solve the issue and offered you compensation for any inconvenience.

As we do read our TripAdvisor reviews in effort to continually improve and sustain our levels of service and quality, if you do recall when you visited us and/or which room number, I will personally be able to check where and how we could have gone wrong. My email is lorraine@summitlodge.com.

As for the pine needles, I do apologize, we realize that it can be an issue with some guests. As our pool deck is located in a private treed area, when it's raining in the fall we cannot always keep up with the leaves.

Kindest Regards,

Lorraine

Stayed here half way thru an 8,400 mile road trip - very convenient to Whistler village, welcoming pets. Staff were very friendly, free cappuccino in the lobby. Rooms were current with comfy beds. Dog cookies were an extra treat.

We visited this hotel for one day, with our small dog. It is in a wonderful location. Because I had an overweight vehicle, I needed to find offsite parking, either at the Library for a fee or at the free outside lot a few blocks away. The staff were welcoming, and the room was clean with high quality furnishings. The fixtures and decor seemed to be of a high standard. The treats for dogs and their owners were well received. There is complimentary coffee and tea. The hot tub and pool are outdoors and heated -- both well cared for and clean. The restaurant attached to but not owned by the hotel is of a high standard. In my opinion, this hotel is of exceptional value at this time, and I fully intend to return in the future

What a lovely little hotel! We stayed 2 nights as part of a longer trip through BC, and this is definitely one of the places that stands out. Great location close to the centre of the village, but away from the bars and night-time noise. There are some lovely little touches when you first arrive like the refreshing aroma of lemongrass from the spa and treats on the counter. They have a really dog-friendly attitude, and we found the staff very welcoming and helpful (thanks Courtney!). The rooms were nicely appointed, and the facilities great. We would definitely stay again, and would recommend it highly.
