We all enjoyed the stay. The staff was truly friendly, they seemed genuinely interested in our well being. Very kid friendly, they catered to us and the kids. Rooms were roomy and clean. Great excursions, took public transportation quite a bit. Very quaint. We will definitely be back.

Room tip: pay extra to get water view.

We stayed at the Marriott Grand Cayman for 11 days in November 2015. I have been at a few other Marriott resorts in the area (Aruba and Cancun) which were great, but this one surpassed the others in terms of service and overall experience.

I am a platinum Marriott rewards member and was offered an upgrade on my room, was supposed to be in a courtyard view, but they were able to place me in a beach view, which was a pleasant surprise and made our stay that much more enjoyable!

The beach was calm and great for the kids. The hotel had toys for children on the beach, as well as several activities for children, which I thought was really great. It's one of those small details that doesn't take much effort, but has a very positive impact on good customer experience.

The staff were really great and helpful throughout our stay and seemed genuinely friendly and cheerful! The family enjoyed our stay so much and would be happy to return!

I am a local customer who has stayed at the hotel and use the facilities for meetings on a regular basis. I have always been impressed with the service, however I have spent this afternoon (25 November 2015) trying to make a restaurant booking (which was apparently too complicated for the desk to manage) and after an hour- I ended up with unanswered phones and no one even asking me for a contact number in order to resolve the problem in the future. This is unacceptable. Extremely disappointed with the front desk

We spent a week at the Marriott Grand Cayman and it was amazing. The moment we arrived with our 5yr old and 7yr old they were served fruit punch and had fish snorkeling guides in hand. Kathryn and Debbie in the kids club are absolutely amazing! They knew our kids by name and would come out to the beach/pool to invite them to do kid's activities when it was time. Some highlights include a pajama party, s'mores on the beach, getting hair braids, making pirate hats, painting ceramics, blowing HUGE bubbles, feeding the turtles and making solar powered lanterns. Most of this was also included in the resort fees! It was my daughter's birthday while we were there and Kathryn and Debbie had a card and gift delivered to our room. They went completely above and beyond during our stay. It was a great surprise given that I didn't even know they had a kids club with activities when booking our trip.

The beach is also amazing for kids. The water is crystal clear, calm and warm. There are trampolines and rafts to float on as well as a man-made reef to snorkel around about 30 feet out. The kids were able to see lots of fish, lobster, rays and sea urchins! It is perfect snorkeling for a beginner as it is so clear and not very deep. It felt very safe. I packed life jackets and snorkel gear, but you can also get snorkel gear for free by the pool. They also provide free paddle boarding for resort guests! (Hint: Check the kids into the kids club and test out the paddle boards.)

The food and service was also great. We ordered lunch on the beach every day. Lloyd even comes around to clean your sunglasses. All the staff is so genuinely kind. I was truly blown away by our experience at the Marriott Grand Cayman. We can't wait to go back.

Room tip: Ask about events so you don't have a wedding outside your poolside room or lobby music blaring in your first floor lobby room

I'm currently staying at the Marriott and have to say the staff here are terrific and extremely friendly and helpful! Great beach food and drinks. Prices are a bit high so we have eaten most big meals outside of the hotel but there are great places within walking distance or a short taxi ride. A special thanks to Tameisha H, Neil, Miguel, Kizzy-Ann, Howard and Nelson for making our stay enjoyable!
