This is my first stay at this hotel which I booked for a weekend stay whilst on business in the area. The location of the hotel is good, close to a motorway junction and local amenities and has a Brewers Fayre restaurant next door. The room was pretty much as I've come to expect from Premier Inn - clean and with a fresh updated decor, plenty of space and an excellent comfy bed. The only problem I experienced during my stay was promptly rectified - stayed during a cold snap and the temperature of my room was very cool. Upon discovery that the temperature of the rooms cannot be adjusted too much by guests, I mentioned this to the receptionist on passing and she prompty saw to it that an additional plug in heater was installed in my room which I kept for the duration of my stay. It's a pity I didn't get her name as she definitely is deserving of recognition for going the extra mile in rectifying this - could have been a much less pleasant stay otherwise. Apart from this, everything about the hotel is fine - staff are pleasant and welcoming, something that's important to a female travelling alone. I never heard any noise from the adjacent road or other guests and my room was at the front of the hotel.
I am staying at another Premier Inn in the area in February, again on business (nothing against Falkirk East - the only reason for booking another hotel was based on the price being offered). It is probably worth mentioning that I have realised that the hotel in February is next to a Beefeater which seems to cater better for vegetarians, having 5 or 6 options - Brewers Fayre only has 2 or 3 choices which is quite limiting if you're intending on eating next door to the hotel every night as I did.
