The most enjoyable meal of the holidays. Yes it this is relatively simple fare but expertly prepared and served by a lovely, kind, welcoming server. Sadly we only discovered this little gem on our last day in Josselyn. We really hope to return another time....Thank you!More

Excellent food and friendly service, can’t believe it has taken me so long to discover this restaurant. Good honest food reasonably priced. Sat in their beautiful garden overlooking the canal, heaven! We will definitely be back. Probably best to book.

Warm welcome from the owners, set menu at lunchtime 3 courses + cheese + water + choice of wine or cider all for €13.80 each. Only had a choice of dessert but all courses were delicious and very well presented. Highly recommended.

Excellent restaurant. It's been 12 years since my last visit with my wife and friend and its as good now as then. Great welcome, the owner showed us his bike collection, we sat on the terrace in the sun. Going back next week !

We once again were in Josselin in June 2018 and returned to La Terrasse and were not disappointed. The great value ,home-cooked food, and friendly welcome were as good as on every other occasion that we have been here. The weather was perfect for having...our meal al fresco in the garden overlooking the canal surrounded by beautiful flowers and of course the owner's wonderful metal artwork, which he makes outside restaurant hours in his workshop beside the restaurant. Can't wait to come back. Maggie and Bill.More

We heard about it on TripAdvisor and decided to try it when we were in Josselyn. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, great value for money and we were made to feel very welcome despite our dreadful French. We can recommend this restaurant...wholeheartedly and will be coming back again and again. Pat and DaveMore

Ending up in Josselin for lunch and was originally driving past this colourful restaurant. We stopped and reversed back up the street to review the board. Wow. So we parked up nearby and had an excellent lunch, some of the best value around. Coffee is...extra but for full value lunch break it’s great. Will be back soon.More

My wife Maggie and i tried this family run restaurant and were delighted with the welcome we received. It was lunchtime and was busy with ouvriers (workers) but luckily we had booked in advance and were taken to a table in the main dining room...and received the same extremely friendly and attentive service as any of the regulars. The 4 course set menu consisted of freshly prepared dishes which were generous and of extremely high quality. When we finished our food we were asked if we would like coffees, and received freshly ground grand cremes. We were delighted with a bill for 27 euros for two people. The restaurant is decorated with metallic sculptures and renovated farm and household implements which really works to create an unconventional but delightfully interesting ambience. We liked this restaurant so much that we went back on numerous occasions during our stay and discovered that the menu changed daily and never fell below the high standard we had enjoyed from our first visit. Our well behaved little dog was also welcomed. We highly recommend La Terrasse and look forward to our next visit to Josselin. M and B. BelfastMore

We arrived in Josselin in our Vintage car to join everyone else at the Creperie de la Marine. However we arrived after 2pm and they wouldn't serve us. We had the same response at the Sarrasine. So when we tried La Terrasse they told us...that they had also stopped serving food and we asked if it were possible to have a sandwich - they did better than that they gave us a fantastic platter of cold meat and cheese and plenty of bread. This was then followed by amazing desserts - the tiramisu was delicious and our friends had the crème brulee which was equally tasty. The owner then showed us his lovely collection of motor bikes. What a lovely friendly place and they only charges us 12€ each for our meal which included a drink. They have a lovely garden overlooking the river. If you go to Josselin which is picture postcard perfect do look out for La TerrasseMore

Fantastic value for money, lunchtime menu under 25€ for two! Such a quirky French place to eat, very clean and extremely welcoming. There is also the choice of sitting on 'The Terrace' overlooking the Nantes-Brest canal, tranquil and idyllic. The proprietors are husband and wife...who take great pride in their work. Presentation is above par., much more than you expect. We had four delicious courses, accompanied with carafs of wines, cider & water - all inclusive in the price. Looking for somewhere to rub-shoulders with the locals and confident that the menu will be good, then look no further.More

This ouvrier is a cut above the rest, the presentation offered is far above the usual 'white-van-man' fare, and the cuisine is excellent.

We were there in June 2018 and it was the same proprietors that we have seen for a number of years. He also makes metalwork art. Food was still as good as ever.
